Nit-pick: 21. And 3 seasons in. Just think he's the chip you move to help solve the clear top 6 problem.

3 seasons of COVID and injury. I don't see how you can reconcile being patient with Chytil but not Kakko. It can't be the eyeball test because they're about even.

Here's my thing...just because you win a game or 2 doesn't make you a better team. That's why it's best of 7. They played, and they competed, and they held their own, but Tampa is the best team in the league until they aren't. And no one has beat them. People were telling me how much better Toronto was than Tampa...Nope.

We can say they blew it and they imploded but IMO that's a discredit to Tampa. They deserved what they got. They earned it. They did what good teams do. We didn't. We took a shot. We'll get another.

Yeah exactly - we got outplayed the four games we lost. Want to argue we blew one game? Fine. But we got out worked and out played the next three. By a team that knows how to do it

Yeah that's the thing with this excuse/crutch that the Rangers blew it at 2-0 in Game 3. At that point of the series, the Rangers needed to elevate their game to score that next goal or find a way to shut it down. They couldn't take that next level. Unfortunately, Tampa did manage to find that extra gear and simply took charge of the series which the Rangers couldn't match. This was not a choke job. Just a case of not being able to match the opposition's compete level in a key situation.

Kakko is such a big body with a ton of potential. And probably cheap.

Yeah, I'm not writing him off, and if people are confident in him, then lock him up, Kotkaniemi style. Probably even cheaper than that.

Kakko is a guy whose ceiling has crashed in my mind, but the floor still looks OK.

I get it. I don’t think we are better than Tampa. But we were playing better, for long enough of a time that we caused our own demise with the implosion. We gave them life, and in the end, that’s the difference between slaying the dragon. You can’t let them back in. We did.

Right, agree with this...Just saying we didn't give anything away or squander anything. Tampa took it. Credit to them.

It’s not always the better team that wins.

rangers had the series in hand. They left their cabin door open and let those Blake bears climb right in.

We know about Tampa and their history. And the rangers rolled over when they were up! That’s what’s disappointing. They didn’t lose to a better team. They watched a better team take it from them.

you’re not wrong, I think you discredit the advantage the Rangers had in the series

to me, when you’re up $1,000 at the casino, and go home with nothing, you lost money you had in your hand.

I am just not certain, that Gallant is the right coach for the Rangers. His “don’t get too high, or too low” philosophy is good in the regular season, but not so much in the playoffs. He brought no fire in the team and it showed up in the playoffs. The veteran and relatively veteran players he trusted let him down during most of the rounds. The Rangers stated by the seat of their pants in the first two rounds, but couldn’t by the Bolts. Congrats and good luck to TBL…

In one respect, it is good that the Rangers season ended today. You guys are just awful during the playoff in the forum. Arguing back and force, calling each other’s names, what the fuck is wrong with you people? Do you enjoy all of the negativity, whining, etc., and find pleasure in calling people names? Go take a shower next time you get to that point…

Then why on earth do you want to lock him up? Kotkaniemi is the Canes' FOURTH LINE CENTER.

If he sucks, what does he return?

he’s been a better all around player than Chytil, who took 5 years before he kinda showed up during the playoffs.

to me, Kakko is never a detriment. At worst, at 20, he’s a fucking sick ass young third liner

In a casino you can walk away when you feel like it. In the NHL playoffs you need to win 4. They won 2.

Wtf, man up and tell us why? Did he break curfew? Did he go to the strip club last night? Did he whine that he wasn’t playing enough?

He was the one fucker the last couple of games that was kind of strong on the puck behind the goal line.

He’s not gonna say because he knows he blew it. And it’s not about kakko but about dressing strome. Put someone else in. Who cares. Dressing strome is just playing short handed all game and we all know it

Sitting your second overall pick for Strome at 30% is just a terrible look to the team and to Kakko. I worry it could have lingering long term negative affects on him.

Congratulations on a great season.
Sucks losing, trust me I have been there.
I am biased and confident we have the best goalie in the world to face the Aves, but I was stunned to see how good Igor is, hey, with the 2nd best goalie in the world and with the right off season moves will carry you far, good luck.
You have a heck of a team.

I’m glad you saw through the fog and appreciate how we’ve gelled. And not trying to be a dick, I just see COL eating TBL alive.

And now you're seeing the reason this guy gets fired so quickly.

Look, I do like him, the players do. That said...he's a stubborn prick who just clings to his bad decisions. I get it. I'm like him.

He won't last past next season if he doesn't change.

You’re not wrong to worry - gallant blew it big time. Sit kakko for someone else is fine, but a guy who can’t make it thru the first period? Just a terrible coaching mistake
