Pete
Players that small need an elite skillset to produce. I don't see the future for him on anyone's third line, especially ours.

Sure, but saying Zucc and Panarin are better comps is just muddying it for those who don't have a clear grip. Especially when you have a post in here asking if he could possibly be the next St. Louis.
Scott
Vesey was only introduced into the conversation because it was brought up that this guy maybe or is in the running for the Hobey, which doesn't mean much. Chytil is bigger though with the "tools" to succeed and sucks so maybe size and age dont necesarily equate to success. Sign the kid, let him play in Hartford. Maybe he surprises everyone. There's no harm in signing him and sending him to Hartford for an extended period to see how he adjusts to larger opponents.

jsm7302
Come to NY Bobby! (But obviously not on the Island). I'm sure he is looking at who will get him in the NHL ASAP, possibly next year. I dont think that would be us with an opening at LW.
Phil
I mean, he's a LW. If he wants to play in the NHL, go to Nashville, or really, anywhere but here. He has no realistic shot at playing in the NHL here.
RodrigueGabriel
While impossible to know who will stick and with the awareness that more competition is better, seems like a Berard clone. Not sure how many of those will fit.

The scouting report makes him sound like slightly shorter Tyler Motte. Will have to see how his scoring translates.
RangersIn7
They can take the flyer on this kid, put him in the AHL, and see what happens.

Sure it is. It just matters less because he projects as a bottom-six player. Asking guys to move to their off-wing is always a challenge. Some rise to it, others can't. We have no idea if he can or not, but if his goal is to get to the NHL as fast as possible and he's more comfortable at LW, this isn't a great marriage.
LindG1000
While Trivigno might not be the best fit for us (though the point about off-wing in the bottom six being moderately less important is well-taken), this is the sort of move we should be mindful of in the future. It's how we reinforced not having draft picks in the middle of the 2010s when we were competing. We didn't hit on all of them, but we did a really good job poaching UDFAs or unsigned FAs from the NCAA.
