But shit, they played well. The difference was the Caps goalie making unbelievable saves in the first, and lucky bounces for the Caps in the third that happened to go to the best goal scorer in NHL history. Goergiev’s past two games have been plenty serviceable as a backup. We supported him (a bit) last game and not as much this game. Yeah, unfortunately Fox “turning around” (as vally calls it) is happening too often on those rebounds. With a 1 gaol lead AGAIN for the umpteenth time , got a 1 goal lead and thought they could run the clock(40 odd minutes) rather than shoot the puck and go to the net.
