On February 15, 2009, with the Pittsburgh Penguins struggling to make the playoffs, the Penguins organization announced that it had relieved head coach Michel Therrien of his duties and had promoted Bylsma to serve as interim head coach of the team

 

I wanted to look it up to see how late in the season that move was made. I didnt realize it was February, I was thinking December.

As long as its not him, I dont think he would care too much. Only 2 swedes on the team dont seem to be people he'd hang out with, most of his buddies have already been traded or moved on... and he still wants to win. Besides, he dont give a shit about Rangers draft picks, barring extreme changes, for the rest of his career, here. But if he's posting in that Nash thread, I dont think he's taking your side :thumbs:

I'm going to assume Hank's opinion holds some weight to management for now, so the chances of a real rebuild probably won't happen. But if they were to explore that approach, you think he requests a trade or rides his contract out?

Not sure when , but Sullivan was a midseason replacement who then went on to win a Cup with those scoundrels as well.
