The Pens weren't winning or playing their game. Sullivan, let's not forget, was an asst. with the NYR and was castigated by many fans. He took over, changed the voice and philosophy, brought up young unknowns, sent a message and the rest is history. Rutherford made some significant trades as well. Couple all of that with arguably the best player in the NHL and a supporting cast the likes of which the NYR haven't seen in eons. The NYR don't have a single player near the caliber of those top guys on the Pens. To think otherwise is, well..........
