  1. Yes, because he didn't have Wennberg and Roslovic to push guys down the lineup. Now, he shouldn't have to. Brodzinski was a 3rd liner for half the year, but now he can't be a regular 4th liner for a few games on the road? I don't buy that. Yes the Canes played 9 forwards last night. I'm not talking about the Canes and I'm not talking about last night. Rempe playing 4 minutes a games is a big enough issue in a 60 minute game, it's even worse when he sits in a 2OT game after period 2.
  2. They exist. In the same world where Mika isn't good at setting up other players. You really can't make this shit up.
  3. Why do you care what I care about is the better question? Your love affair with me continues.
  4. I don't even understand why we're still talking about Strome. Nobody complained about signing Trocheck over Strome on July 1. No one. Last year Tro and Bread were oil and water so it was easy to wonder if they made a questionable choice. Now they found their chemistry. This year he became the player everybody said he would be last year (but wasn't), so why are we still talking about a guy who hasn't been here in two seasons?
  5. Is Rempe sits next game and they lose... Then all you have to do is put him back in.
  6. All of this, and it's also a really odd time to be complaining about anybody on the team. They're undefeated in the playoffs. Can they at least lose (once) before we start pointing fingers at players?
  7. I know what a health bomb is, thanks. I just don't get what bringing up the term has to do with anything. No one is going to miss 4 mins of Rempe. They will carry on the same as they do after he gets ejected.
  8. I don't know what health bomb has to do with the conversation, but the point is you can make changes to a winning lineup and if you can demote your captain you can sit a plug.
  9. Panarin is similar box cars to Trocheck, and in most cases better metrics in all situations, yet one is talked about as Conn Smythe and you're ragging Panarin. WHo cares if a goal came off a blacked shot from a player who you complained didn't shoot the puck enough? The playoffs are about broken plays. I think a lot of it is just your view of the player, which is not at all objective.
  10. It was always the right decision. He just wasn't always good. Last year he was average at best. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that, as he has already done so. This year's a different story.
  11. In a 2OT game Rempe played a season low (except for games he was kicked out of), and didn't see the ice for 2 and 1/2 periods after the second period. Yes, I would agree that who the coach is playing is an indicator of what's working and what's not.
  12. Okay so what's your point?
  13. Brodzinski was everyone's blue collar hero until Rempe and now he's just an AHL player? What is Rempe then? That's just lazy Dude come on.
  14. You can, for 82 regular season games. I get my nice things for 16 playoff games.
  15. Just in case of what? Someone runs Igor? Twice? Oh...gee. Yes, we know his presence makes you feel good, because you're a throwback to the days of face punching. It's not hockey related whatsoever lol.
  16. I can understand that point of view as well. It's not one that I share, but I get it. The team won something like 10 out of 12 games and they still moved Trouba to the 3rd pair. When the writing is on the wall, sometimes you don't need to actually suffer the L. And again, for me it's not whether or not he's going to take a penalty that the hurricanes may or may not score on. This is now all about his deployment, or lack thereof. The beauty of Rempe was his ability to take a (quasi) regular shift. The second he loses that, he's just another face punching goon that really doesn't have a role in today's game, especially in the playoffs against an opponent like Carolina.
  17. Yeah, I mean The point you're echoing here is mine. I said it over and over again. My point is that effect is now wavering. The crowd is not as in tune to him as in the beginning. It's starting to fade. And PS, that effect we're talking about happened a whopping four times last night. Four. So once again I will say if he's not going to play, there's no point in dressing him. He's not giving you that boost from the bench.
  18. I love Rempe, but I'm also a little exhausted of the sideshow. He gets almost as much press as anyone else on the team, meanwhile there are 3 Conn Smythe candidates playing on a team that just went 6-0 in the playoffs, and we're sitting here talking about a fourth liner who plays 5 minutes a game and has a 50/50 shot of getting kicked out. I think everyone needs to move on. Whether or not he plays is completely inconsequential, and the less he plays the less anyone should care.
  19. I was on board with not changing the lineup until this game, if you're not going to play him there's no point in dressing him.
  20. It's not just the OT, and it's not just about this series. Rempe had 4 shifts all game. I'm sorry, but that's just not sustainable because the players who are eating those minutes are the top players (Panarin, Tro, Zib) and if you have an opportunity to keep them fresh early, you should take it because we'll need them later. If you're going to dress him, play him, otherwise what's the point of dressing him? If you don't think you can play him and trust the outcome, then you shouldn't be dressing him.
  21. Guentzel has seven points in seven games, however heading into last night he only had one goal.
  22. Skating ability? Not chasing hits? No phantom calls? I'm sorry but I do take 10 mins of JB over 4 of Rempe.
  23. I hear you, but it's not just about what they're doing versus Carolina this series. Next series they're going to play either Florida or Boston whose fourth line plays around 9:00 or 10 minutes, and after that the team's out west are rolling 4 lines. That's when you need to worry about fatigue because your top players are playing more than their top players.
