Were they? Or did they really just have a couple of stretches of good games at a lot of shit in between?

Players are saying the team feels more organized this year. But yeah, GG was fine. Not a problem at all. -

Mika is one of the most well-rounded and top centers in the league. Only here is he referred to as "a third liner".

Playoffs 2023-24 WCQF: Stars vs. Golden Knights

The first game the Rangers still had Bonino, Wheeler, and Pitlick in the lineup. Brodzinski, too. The second game was the first home game after the west coast trip. I'm not saying Vegas isn't concerning, I'm saying it's not apples to apples. -

This team didn't play Vegas this season. -

It's crazy that they let him play and gave me 82, and that's probably why he looked like scattered ass. -

Hopefully. I get the frustration, especially that it happens every year, but it's done and over with at this point. People also seem to forget that Vegas was a bubble team and they traded for a player who was hurt. There was no guarantee they would even make the playoffs when they made those moves. It's not like this was the first place team loading up. -

Dallas needs to win this series just for the fact that I don't want to hear circumvention complaining for the next month and a half. -

He's been pretty average most of the year. -
Remains to be seen, he didn't have an NHL roster.

And this is how he exits it.

I hear you. And I'll probably miss him when he's gone too. Put it this way, as far as the art of the tip in, it's Kreider and Pavelski and then a big gap between whoever is next, and while there's no surprise those two teams were the best in the NHL, there's a slew of other teams who don't have guys like that and still managed to win a ton of hockey games. I think the game has evolved to a point where you just have to do more than stand there when you don't have the puck. -
I felt like you were one of the folks who would defend GG. My bad if I got that wrong.

It's mind-boggling to me how you can say he's one of the worst coaches you've ever seen and yet somehow try to absolve Gallant, who not only didn't change hardly anything from Quinn's lineup, and actually coached less.

I found a couple of clips of Wilson yelling at Rempe on the bench, but no hot mic, you can't even hear what they're saying. Actually, I found it. Don't watch the clip, just listen to the audio. https://twitter.com/BR_OpenIce/status/1782943055756046408/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1782943055756046408¤tTweetUser=BR_OpenIce Honestly, saying you're going after McMichael is a big who gives a fuck. Not much of a chirp. Go after Ovechkin or Carlson.

I don't think that's true. I think he's appropriately appreciated and rated. He will be remembered as a player that always left you wanting more, he leaves too much on the table. Even the responses from the stans to those who are critical never really directly rebut the criticism. He doesn't use his speed or size, yeah but he scores goals. He handles the puck like a hand grenade, yeah but he's statistically good at 5v5. None of those actually answer the criticisms, at least @Phil is honest and says he just doesn't care about the shortcomings. Nobody's knocking the guy as a goal scorer. But a lot of people can see he's capable of much more. So yeah, when I see that he has the most playoff goals for a Ranger, the first thing that comes to mind is that he could easily have many more if he utilized his skill set to its fullest potential. -
Maybe there was some player feedback. But it's definitely a case where Scotty Bowman behind the bench wouldn't have made a difference.

I get that, but I also don't equate sports to real life. That guy clearly struggles with confidence, and after a shaky start to the game he really clamped down. It could have gone either way.
