  1. you are right I probably beat the dead horse into a bloody pulp by now. will try to restrain myself.
  2. BTW Lundqvist won Vezina a whopping 1 time. I can't wait to move on from him and turn the page over already.
  3. you want to say he was a good goalie, I agree. But if he wants my respect back he has to retire ASAP. Otherwise he just proves what I always suspected of him. Lundqvist hasn't been earning his salary last 3 - 5 years but nobody has any balls to speak up against the "great king".
  4. in terms of Holloway his NCAA playing might be done, so he likely goes to AHL.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVRYpbaaB5Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w5xY_FuEE8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=295GQta5B3o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBTsWdiozNU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ7AHvWLJDw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsDSsxDXTjg so sick and tired of it, so much ass kissing and for what? Zero Cups? Retire already and let Georgiev play. Lundqvist was so brutal last season it was not even funny, and he was pretty brutal already for several years. Hint: you don't win many Cups with players that care more about fashion and styling their hair.
  6. I am guessing Holloway, Zary, (most of the players who spent last season in European top leagues, but they likely won't because their seasons are about to begin).
  7. don't know who that is, but the name resembles yours, maybe they should check if that is not you. His legacy is ruined to me, his contract was a big mistake, his "king" status was a joke, the guy never really got us close to winning the Cup, the Kings dismantled him easily. If Rangers threw big money at me and treated me like they treated Lundqvist I would give them my entire career, but I would go further and retire a year earlier if that is what they want and if that benefits the organization going forward. Lundqvist never gave us discounts on any contracts. He probably made a lot from side gigs as well like promotions, commercials, endorsements, etc.
  8. how can you make anybody understand when somebody will retire? I don't even know when I will retire. You gave me no good reason why he will not retire that I could not find an explanation to. His legacy is ruined if he forces the Rangers to buy him out or if he forces Rangers to trade Georgiev. Both are pure selfish ungrateful full of himself scumbag moves I hope he is not stupid enough to do that, but you are right he probably is. A different issue is how few fans besides me are bothered by this. So Naslund, Klein, etc. can retire from NHL and leave money on the table but this guy that made over 100 mil is not able to leave couple of millions on the table?
  9. Strome is in a fragile situation, he needs to better establish/prove himself if I were him I would short term take very modest salary increase to remain with Panarin to hope that this paid off big way when he becomes a UFA.
  10. he lives in NY when there is hockey, when no hockey he lives in Sweden, if you are such a big Lundqvist fan, you should have known that.
  11. please provide links to those comments he made in the last 30 days. He is not walking away from 4.5 the buyout amount is 3 mil and he would likely get at least 2.5 to play in Sweden. So he is walking way from 0 to 500K and the benefits are huge, less travel, less taxes, fewer games, playing with his brother, etc. It is a perfect full circle to his career. 2 mil for Georgiev was me being conservative but also depends on how many years is his new contract. And yes, if they want to they can carry 3 goalies.
  12. Defense is a more responsible position. If Hajek was a forward he probably would barely get any AHL games.
  13. Lundqvist retiring is not realistic? Georgiev it doesn't even matter, because it would be stupid to trade him now when we can re-sign him for fairly cheap. Probably around 2 mil. And use him as a backup or a starter if something happens to Shesterkin.
  14. What about Georgiev makes you think that he cannot be a starter?
  15. The Blues have possibly a goalie problem. Could they be interested in Lundqvist about 50% retained?
  16. What is the point arguing this? You want a low return instead of a fair one? You have a guilty conscience of receiving 1st rounder for a player we signed as a free agent?
  17. I am still a bit confused and uncomfortable about Chytil. In any case I think if we trade Strome the return should be a late 1st rounder. If he signs cheaper than expected and has a monster start to the season then his trade value goes up.
  18. so Toronto paid mid 1st round pick to dump Marleau's final year. At that going rate what would it take to have Orpik's final year taken off your hands, have that year bought out by the other team just so you could re-sign Orpik for cheap? I would say at least a mid 1st rounder? if you agree then Capitals traded Grubauer for mid 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder. Talbot by most accounts Rangers had a better deal on the table and it was pulled because the other team changed their mind. Boston traded Jones for mid 1st rounder + prospect (who is still playing for them) Varlamov was traded for what ended up 11th overall + 2nd rounder I do not feel like we are fleecing anybody for getting fair value in return for Georgiev. We got fleeced a bit on the Talbot trade.
  19. ok then put me on ignore, just like I am about to put you.
  20. Pretty sure he wants to be in Sweden during COVID issues and there is way less games and travel there. Your guarantee is worthless.
  21. Amirov is a LW and reminds me of Namestnikov too much Zary good 2 way center, but his skating is not great Perrault I keep forgetting why I wasn't too crazy about him, ok I remember he seems very finesse not enough sandpaper or defensive acumen. Peterka looks great if he can play RW or Center that would be an excellent player to get but not a high ceiling scorer. Holloway if he is there also would be a good choice. Mysak I lost interest in him his defensive game is overrated Bourque also not very good defensively Foerster probably best one timer in the draft, could be lethal on the PP, but I am not sure how complete his game is Greig interesting prospect, needs to add a lot of muscle to his frame and seems like almost everywhere is listed as a LW Khusnutdinov probably the guy we should go for he has really good motor and hockey IQ Brisson don't like Jarvis and Mercer should be gone by 23 Lapierre too many injuries and red flag with only 2 goals. so I guess Khusnutdinov is my top choice at around 23
  22. So at around 23 who are we going to draft? If we draft Laf #1. I would hate to see us draft another LW or D and there is no Goalie at that range. So Center is top choice and and and last choice should be RW, which eliminates the guy I really wanted in Lukas Reichel. What RW and Centers will be available at around 23?
  23. they want a good return like a 1st rounder and other teams are not yet willing to do that, that will change soon enough and when Wall or Huska are pushing for the backup and Shesterkin established himself as #1 goalie then they will trade him. For now their focus has to be to convince our 3rd goalie to retire from NHL. That will be the best for everybody the Rangers, the Cap, the Rangers fans, the Rangers owners, the Rangers coaches, the Rangers goalies, Frolunda, SHL, SHL/Frolunda Fans, Lundqvist, Lundqvist's family and his twin, our RFAs, etc.
