  1. Lundkvist a year away only because of Covid and after his season ends he might come over play some games in AHL. I don't think Trouba's contract is immovable plenty of teams that would want him, we can eat a portion of his contract if we get a big return.
  2. emergence of ADA, Fox and Lundkvist + 1 year of play + flat cap makes them realize they made a mistake and they will look to move him. Nothing unlikely about it. It can come swiftly and unexpectedly just like with his good buddy Skjei.
  3. then why does everybody have a problem when I speculate a Trouba trade?
  4. So why are we trading him if we don't even know what he wants/asking? Carolina had similar situation with Faulk and they got a very solid return for him but Faulk's production was much less and he was 2.5 years older at the time he was traded. So I think we keep ADA for now, unless somebody is blowing us away with a trade. So let's put an end to ADA trade talk until we at least know what his demands are?
  5. Good points, but Schneider went to AHL, would Lundqvist accept AHL assignment and a chance to bring the Championship to Hartford Wolfpack? Nah I rather have Wall and Huska play. Fine if Lundqvist does not retire and no trade is available, just buy him out and move on. Also Schneider's team has lowest cap in NHL so his cap hit doesn't really hurt them.
  6. Unless you really closely scout the Dmen you will miss a lot of issues in their play. Carolina I am sure have not closely scouted Skjei, they needed a Dman and they had an extra 1st rounder so they rushed and made a trade, they will be unpleasantly surprised what they got. Similar I feel like Rangers did not adequately scout Trouba and his issues. A trade presented itself and they rushed into it. Yes Fox is supposed to be the best of 3, but he is not perfect either. So do you think 5 mil for ADA is too much? The only things I like about Trouba is size and hitting (and I am a huge fan of hitting). He seems to be fairly dumb, not very high hockey IQ, his agility is bad when he turns it is like a truck making a broken u-turn, his passing is nothing to write home about. And let's not forget the big and dangerous contract with NMC.
  7. I feel more comfortable with ADA defending than Trouba. I think ADA @5mil is acceptable cap hit.
  8. yeah, but you specifically mentioned Brodin a guy that had like 270 hits in 550 NHL games. It is absolutely dangerous.
  9. Fleury played 49 games, so not really a backup, but yeah he might be a backup next year if he does not pick up his game but good thing he shot those commercials for iPhone his teammates must be thrilled with that. Rinne played 36 games that checks off, but his cap hit is only 5 mil Luongo was a shame, but they knew what they were getting themselves into when they traded for him, his contract length was insane, he also had some injuries and the cap hit was only 5.33 mil, and in the last year he played 43 games so technically he was the starter. and season prior to that he would have been a starter as well if not for injuries. Bobrovsky had a bad season he played 50 games, so technically a starter. He will likely rebound next season. So really only Rinne was in similar situation but there is a tremendous difference between 5 mil cap and 8.5.
  10. I have been posting on hockey boards for 20 years, but thanks for advice.
  11. ADA does not seem to be all about the money, he is a good team player I rather trade Trouba and have ADA be 2nd pairing Dman. But really if you have 3 pairings that play equal amount each then it should not really matter much.
  12. I would be very opposed to Brodin. 1. I don't like Dmen that don't hit 2. when you got unholy pipeline which includes Miller, Jones, Robertson, Reunanen, Hajek, Ragnarsson signing a UFA would be equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot.
  13. I was talking about 3rd/4th line center those should not be very expensive on the UFA market.
  14. I think before making trades like that we need to figure out what we have and what we are missing and who is expendable or redundant. Howden and Chytil, are they C or W? And are they going to finally break out? need to see Barron, Richards, Khodorenko good chance that at least 1 is NHL ready. And also I am guessing there will be decent UFAs available.
  15. When you have opinions and outside the box thinking, no matter where you go no matter how you express yourself there will be multiple people trolling you, they will question your age, they will question you being a real fan, they will call you a troll while they themselves are trolling, they will dismiss you as some idiot (or possibly another poster with opinions that they trolled on before) that used to post there in the past. I am not going to try to please those people and my advice to them is if somebody's opinions piss you off so much then put them on your ignore list instead of trolling.
  16. Kakko nor much of a bottom 6 either but mostly played 3rd line. So either he plays on a 3rd line with Lafaniere or he replaces Fast on the Panarin line and Kakko plays with Lafaniere.
  17. you people are clowns. The day I registered here was the day I found this site, did not even know it existed before. The funny phenomenon I noticed is idiot posters (and it is not just here, but other sites as well) that constantly look for some patterns in new posters or posters they don't like or disagree with to assume that they are some old poster from the past that the did not like or disagreed with.
  18. I think you have to have something wrong with you to trade a player in his prime that can do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWA7CJzL1E0
  19. I forgot how good of a playmaker he was. How do we find a spot for him? I have an idea. Can he play center?
  20. give me an example of goalies with similar cap with similar situation.
  21. one last point about Lundqvist I just thought of. If he stays here, he stays as a backup goalie. How can anybody justify a 8.5 mil cap hit for a backup goalie? (And that is not even counting that he is a pretty bad backup goalie.) How does Lundqvist justify crippling his team that already has Cap issues with a 8.5 mil cap hit? Has he no shame?
  22. https://breadandboxersusa.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwhIP6BRCMARIsALu9LfldTE4S6YH0U-Pqq2UaL26XR3LFBamgQ6iGGn4GLvh4QGdhuSDeexkaAmjxEALw_wcB Anybody tried these underwear?
  23. You always should have a backup goalie who is good enough to be a starter.
  24. We might be able to trade down few spots and still get Khusnutdinov as well as a 2nd rounder. in the 3rd or 4th rounds I would like us drafting a goalie because Oily Lipbalm was a mistake (hopefully he has a good season and regains his trade value so we can trade him for some other prospect) and we need to keep the pipeline going.
  25. I am guessing we are not trading up just to get him, so let some other team worry about that.
