Can't see why he would retire and leave the money on the table, but yeah at this point in time it appears it might not end well. End of the world for Krav, nope. But I would of much rather him do what Chytil did and go down with his head up and play his way back here. To me there's definitely a "running home" less than ideal feel to how it played out.
