  1. Thx Phil for moving my message and the commentary. I'm not sure why I became bored or uninterested because up until that point, the show was compelling. Maybe it still is...I'll have to find a moment like jsrangers said and see if I can get into it again.
  2. Q? Anyone still watching Walking Dead? Is it still on? IDK since I stopped watching many moons ago.
  3. Hated the ending. That?s why I?m glad they had a change of heart and appear to be trying out a new way to end the series - at least that?s my takeaway. Granted the books were better.
  4. :pbjtime::clap: and also this... :nervous:
  5. This Lake Louise promo video with super cool colorful ice and no snow on it is awesome!
  6. I'm tossed about HAM - sure he's good. The cars (and team coaching) are very different than Shumi's days on track. RIC had a great drive and HUL literally downed his coffee and took a drive - that was a very commendable effort from him. ALB - what's going on here? Very unlike what I expected from him this season in that Red Bull car. LEC eeked out a decent weekend gives me hope that Ferrari is finding something in that bag of rocks. WTF with Honda pulling out too? This isn't the first time that they left the sport. If they come back to F1 in the future can they be trusted to remain as a long-term partner? I think teams might be skittish about hooking up with them again. I have the podium stuff on DVR and need to watch to see what transpired with Mick.
  7. I have not seen this before and was looking for videos mentioning Lundquist and this popped up. Holy crap I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling! Worth a listen if you find these Downfall parodies funny.
  8. Dude I don?t know who exactly but I?m not in favor of 1-year deals for bags of pucks and jocks. Grabner is not that, but these other guys? Let?s work in the younger hungry guys guys and keep our eyes open for that Prospal or Tikkanen guy later when our project is nearly finished. I?m not up on all the players league-wide like you guys are or the giant pool of prospects. It just seems like our recent moves are not aligned with the rebuild.
  9. I get the thinking about him filling a bottom six role but doesn?t that mean he takes a roster spot from a guy who can grow into that role...or more? I hear you about how we?d have missed the playoffs this season but so what? We weren?t a playoff team anyway. Developing a core AND a supporting cast is important to me. I?m already resigned to this season being another development year so let?s have that. Yeah, Prospal played a great role but I?d much rather add that kind of guy as one of the final pieces to the puzzle later than sooner.
  10. ^This!^ I was reading through the thread before posting - NYR 'run-n-gun' style with smaller, faster players (bring back Zuccc and Miller) with NO CHECKING is exactly what the doctor ordered (no pun intended) so if the NHL adopted this idea, we are the next Cup winner. No checking? We win. Start passing out the dress uniforms. LOL
  11. Such a talent...RIP guitar god. Stern did a wonderful tribute on his show today.
  12. Welcome to the BSBH - we are always happy to add new NYR fans on the bus. So many great comments already, and as you have read, these guys are so friendly and knowledgeable that this site is well worth a daily visit. I want to emphasize that NYR play at MSG - Madison Square Garden - the world's most famous arena. So many wonderful moments in history have occurred there and to think that there is an event happening almost every night of the year is amazing in itself. My son and I took in a Knicks game in the afternoon and a Rangers game at night and that was really cool. Enjoy the ride and fan real hard by sending the team good vibes. Onward to the Cup!
  13. The eye-test on Simmonds seems to indicate a guy who no longer plays with that shift-in and shift-out hard edge. I would have like him as a NYR a few years back but not now. Am I wrong?
  14. Brooks just looking for eyeballs. I don?t believe this line of thinking. Trouba?s not here forever.
  15. I was never suggesting we need 12 years to get to the promised land but In spite of the good run we had this season I don?t see us being that close when compared to teams in the finals. We?re not big, not nearly physical enough and we don?t have 12 forwards and 6 d-men working as a cohesive unit. I see progress for sure and our trajectory and timeline so far has been great but...excluding a Cinderella-like run were not a multi-year threat just yet. I?m being cautious in my praise ?out of an abundance of caution.? (My NYR heart cannot take much more sports related disappointment.) ;-)
