This was the kind of goal we didn't really see from post-Covid Zibanejad, that I hope he can get back to this season:

wish they'de try flipping laf and panarin...give laf the chance to excel in his natural position...panarin would adjust better

And thank gd, we wont have to spend half this season trying to accommodate panarin on the left boards, forcing zib to the middle on pp. that was a travesty.

Hedve been around 100+ points with buch last season. Now that kakko looks ready to game, he should get there.

well as long as theyre potentially breaking up the kid line - throwing Goodrow on there - might as well give chytil another shot with Panarin. especially if he seems due to breakout.

can't come up with a better opportunity for the kid than having panarin, among the best russian hockey players in the world, mentor him. if he doesn't show significant progress throughout this season, shouldn't be too hard to move on without regret.

Hate to say it, as i never cared for the trade panarin sentiment, but ide strongly consider it if it meens keeping k'andre and laf.

Why should he be played any less than zib, fox etc.? Especially when the guy could use time jelling with a new centerman.

If the kid line picks up where they left off, this is a good call. Could end up with 3 lines all a threat.

50 again is a big stretch, but I would bet big on Kreider hitting 30. 40 would be huge.

Do scouts not pay any attention to the AHL? If you think your a lock for playing time somewhere in the NHL, then go dominate with the wolfpack and prove it.

How is it not a serious infraction/contract issue for these requests to get out in the public...its basically like a reverse form of tampering, with the player sort of indirectly going out to market while under contract. the player basically diminishes the value that he is under contract for.

Id've thought Drury and co wouldve figured out how to unload these types of players BEFORE the trade request goes public and value tanks.

Agreed that signing Trochek means their confidence level in Chytil isn't very high. But as disappointing as his development may be thus far, the 10 playoff games is not something to completely disregard.

Would we have been in on stastny if drury wasnt hard for trochek? As a stopgap for chytill to take over next year?
