Do websites/apps like Zillow and Apartments.com do the actual available market justice? Would I be better served driving around the areas I want to live and taking down the 'now leasing' numbers? phillyb Posted March 1, 2016 Share Posted March 1, 2016 when renting, i always found my apartments on craigslist (los angeles). when i moved to PA, i roamed around neighborhoods i wanted to live in and called all of the people. this was necessary as nothing was really listed on craigslist. you may have to do the same thing for nyack. not sure about zillow or other apartment finders, but it's worth a shot if you want to try it.
