6 games with the Rangers. It was one of the weirdest trades we made in recent times.

Only reason I thought of him was because he scored his 2nd (!) goal of the season last night and the 4th (!) of his career in 259 games.

Sandy McCarthy played 258 games as a Ranger. Doesn't qualify.

The rest do, and I'm pretty sure were all posted by now.

Oliwa wasn't...Fata and Popovic didn't have pics so I missed them. Maybe I should have qualified Sandy McCarthy harder...but I know he didn't count technically.

You're like the fun police

You're right, anarchy in the BSBH!

Let's all just post photos of anyone we feel like, for no reason whatsoever!

The only thing I remember about Oliwa was him cross-checking some Blue Jacket in the face and getting suspended. Literally, that's his career as a Ranger in a nutshell.

Check that out... it's actually on YouTube:

Lol .. Oliwa is a good dude. Tough mofo, and fuckin huge.

Since he died today and I personally didn't even know he existed or that he once played for the Rangers. Vic Howe, brother of some dude named Gordie. 33 games for us over a few year period in the 50s

He was one of the greatest guys with the fans. After every game, he would come out and talk to the fans and before he left, he would make sure everyone got a signature if they wanted one. He talked with us one night for like a half hour outside, Lindros was the same way. I always liked him, he was good for the team and always stuck up for his teammates.

Why do I recall some blatant blind pass through the middle of the crease that managed to cost us a contention/playoff game?

No idea. You could be right, I guess, but he only played 9 games as a Ranger, and they sucked balls that year, I think. I'll ask him the next time I see him. I hope he doesn't eat me.

Not to get too off topic, but to this day I'm convinced Bozolinsh had money on the Devils in the 2006 playoffs. I mean, Marek Malik had one of the worst plays I've ever seen a d-man make when we played the Sabres in 07. How you can be 6'6", a defenseman, have the puck along the boards, and decide somehow that the best play is not to pin it along the boards but to throw a blind pass right in front of your net with 7 seconds left and with a 1 goal lead is beyond me. Kids who laced up skates for the first time 5 minutes ago know better than to do that. But that was just one play.

Ozolinsh practically directly assisted on most of NJ's goals in that series. Never in my life have I seen such consistently poor play. I can't describe it other than he had to have money on New Jersey.

I met him a few years back at a local Gordie Howe signing. Was an incredibly nice guy. My dad and I spoke to him along with Gordie and Marty Howe for quite a while.

He was one of my favorite players during the dark ages. Great guy
