5 Possible Trade Partners for the Rangers

Lafreniere is mostly everything I thought the top 6 has been missing. He’s talented, not afraid to hit or take a hit to make a play, he goes to the net, he can forecheck, and he doesn’t mind physical contact at all.

Cuylle, too. Not as talented with the puck as Lafreniere, but bigger and more impactful in the hitting department. He’s been a welcome addition.

The team just needs a bit more of this mindset still IMO.

The things you’re talking about are true and important.

They’re just not full-time things in today’s NHL.

But it’s developing.

Lafreniere at 25-30 is going to be such a good player.

That modern physicality is starting to come with him.

Cuylle too.

I think Othmann has that in him as well.
And Schneider is moving in that direction.

I just wish they had moved Laf to the RW, stuck him up with Zib and CK, left him there and force fed the minutes.

Not right away.
But at some point in say, 21-22, they should have.

They didn’t.

But it’s ok.

He wasn’t physically ready. He got himself ready this summer

That’s totally a part of it. Yes.

He had, what I like to call, lazy wang syndrome, but that is a technical term. It’s better known by its common name, Old Man’s Penis.

Just caught it young.

Donuts and old cocks.

I wonder what we'd be calling Laf if he actually was a bust?

I don't see him as a likely star at any point in his career but he's probably going to be a good player.  Statistically similar to Chris Kreider but with a different attitude is my guess.
