Is he responsible for the players training regiment? Because if so then I understand.

if not then im shocked as others have said he seemed beloved.

He's not responsible for their off-season training. They had a trainer, Reg Grant, who I'm not sure is there anymore.

Most train with Ben Prentiss during the summer, Kreider most notably is always with him, and they brought in Kyle Czech from BU to be a full-time strength and conditioning coach.

Prentiss is outside the org though. They all get personalized programs at the end of the season, that goes back years and years to when I worked there. We used to manage the printing of their training programs (which I'm sure is all done by app now). Kyle Czech is probably the guy who manages that now.

Prentiss is a consultant, yes, but the team utilizes his facilities. I'm sure Czech and Prentiss are in communication with each other. A lot of their prospects especially get to work with Prentiss. There's nothing mandating they work with Prentiss, though. Chytil used to use him and now mostly trains with his brother. Kakko is part of a training group back in Finland.

Point being, Ramsay isn't that guy LOL.

Yeah exactly. I imagine Rammer's duties were more focused on the day-to-day health of players, managing niggling injuries, deciding what specialist to refer them to for dealing with those injuries, and obviously any in-game injury management. I doubt he had anything to do with the off-season or long term fitness and conditioning of the players.

I bet Kane shouldn't have been acquired or be allowed to play but he somehow vouched that Kane would be okay to play. That's my guess. Drury saw it as incompetence and unacceptable as a professional.

I highly doubt Rammer would be the guy going through Kane's medical/injury reports and greenlighting that aspect of a trade. Pretty sure they have access to dedicated physicians for that.
