Wow Rutherford dood, there's transparency and then there's being way too informative. This interview is the latter. Nobody in the league is going to want to work with you on a trade without taking you to the cleaners now, unless it's for Pettersson or Hughes. Those are the only two pieces worth anything significant.

Man , Boudreau is a class act. IDK what's going on over there, but this dude walked into a pretty crappy situation.  He came in last year and it looked like they were going to turn it around.

Hopefully there's a fire sale and they will pay out the ass to take Lafrenière.

I want Boeser here.

Boudreau always starts strong and then inexorably loses his grip on the team. Same thing in DC. Desperately grateful Drury didn't make that mistake.

That's true of every coach in every sport. Bruce tends to last a lot longer than this though. He spent 4+ with the Caps, 5 with the Ducks, and 3+ with the Wild.

Asses are going to be in slings out there if they mess with Tocchet.

Bruce has got to be what? 68 or 69 years old now?  Maybe this is it for him.  The guy's made his dough and had a pretty successful coaching career.  He doesn't need this bullshit at that age.

He'd be a good analyst on one of the networks.

It's just an absolutely classless, spineless thing for Vancouver to do.

Honestly, what on earth does Tocchet think he's walking into that he's going to fix this or do better? The players don't like this decision, the fans don't like it, the media doesn't like it - and honestly forget "don't like" - they're all correct to be angry about it.

I hope Bruce gets what he wants, and full credit to the Vancouver fans for giving him a proper goodbye.

I know. It's amazing. How did he get all those years with some pretty loaded teams and he never even sniffed a SC Final with any of them? Yeah, every coach declines over time. But Boudreau seem to always leave amid epic meltdowns. This one just cut to the chase a little quicker.
