That 4th line is nuts. Rooney is going to have his hands full. I think I dress Reaves for game 1, and then Gauthier or Hunt takes his place.

Same. But I'd just go Gauthier/Hunt right out of the gate. Reaves is gonna get torched.

Yeah no need for Reavo in this series....Can't find it but McKegg scored a goal for Carolina vs. the Islanders in Game 4 of the sweep 3 years ago....Maybe he has some good playoff juju especially in Carolina?!?!?

At the very least I'd rather see Hunt in and Reavo out.

Carolina is all about depth, especially after the deadline. The only way to beat that is to rope-a-dope, keep them to the outside, and take full advantage of your opportunities when they come. We are not going to win a footrace or track meet, but with our high end talent i think we have a shot by playing a conservative and opportunistic game.

Or they will just blow us out too.

The biggest x factor here is again the kid line, who has enough talent to push us over the edge, but is yet unproven against an outstanding team in the playoffs like this. Can't wait to see them here.

Brodzinski-Rooney-Motte. All three guys have taken draws in the past, even if they aren't natural centermen. These guys have hustle, a bit of grit, and a little bit of skill to them. That's the perfect 4th line based on the players we have available. Goodrow replaces Johnny Polish if he returns late in the series.

I know I’ve been rather optimistic about this team most of the year and argued with the idea this is smoke and mirrors (pp + Igor) but I really believe in this team. I think we have quite a few guys just dumb enough to capture the moment without realizing how big it is and some vets with chips on their shoulders thinking why not us.

regardless, this team as it is today will not be exactly the way it is whenever our season is over. This group doesn’t want that. Rangers in 6 and I’m saying that because Carolina steals a couple. Otherwise, we are the better team this whole series.

A week ego, it didn't look like that the Rangers will make it out of the first round and yet, here they are in round two. The Canegers are heavily favored against the Rangers and yet, the Rangers do have a chance to advance to the conference final.

I am with @Keirik and remain optimistic that they will be in round three. Let the games begin...
