QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“The last few years, we’ve seen a lot of our friends go at the deadline. It was more like, who's going to be here by the end of it, versus who we're going to get. I think it's a great feeling for a team. We've done a great job of working hard all year to put ourselves in that position, and we got rewarded with some great players. ... There's not much more you can ask for than a GM adding at the deadline and showing some faith in your team.”

— Ryan Strome on the Rangers trade deadline

Down to only 3 turds in the lineup!

I suspect Schneider will be back in.  I think LIndgren could use a day off but this game might be too important to sit him.  Good time to see what Braun looks like on the left side though.

Kevin Stevens for trivia.

It seems that these two will be paired up in the first round of the playoff, this and other games against the Pittsburgh may just decide the home field advantage.

Shesty's numbers aren't good for the month of March in eight games, SV% .898 and GA/G 2.65, let's hope he'll do great tonight...

Lineup looks good. Copp theoretically might be a good fit with the glide brothers on that 2nd line.

Can't say I've been impressed with Vatrano outside of the first game where I thought he was buzzing around. The other games I thought he looked weak on his skates. Let's see if Kreider/Zib can get him involved...start to utilize that shot he's got.

That 3rd line might be the best we've tried all year. Nice to see Lafreniere and Chytil back together, this time paired with a good vet.

Love the 4th line.

Agreed re: Vatrano. He was trying to play slow and contemplative like Panarin and Strome only to repeatedly get hounded and picked. Playing with a bit more pace on the Kreider-Zib line might be more beneficial to him, though I truly think he just needs to play against 3rd line comp where he can be the primary chucker.

Yeah, but he was finally getting comfortable on the other side and producing points on the other side. Just very odd timing.

Well, regardless, to call tonight a huge game is an understatement. It’s gigantic. This team has played well in big games all year, so I expect them to show up and bounce back from that no show in NJ. But Pittsburgh is going to show up too. Gotta be ready to play a full 60 and beat this teams shit in. Let’s fucking go!
