The 8th place team has 7-3-0 record in their last 10 games and of course the Rangers' 9-1-0 record for the last ten is better. Not looking for prime Toews I just think that since he also is under contract next year, you are talking about paying a pretty steep price to get that third team involved and pay 1/3 for Toews. But if we traded for him, nevermind the prorated cap this year but next year we would be on the hook for his full cap unless we trade with Chicago and a second team to only need to be on the hook for one third of cap hit.
