QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“I just told the kid to go out there and have fun, Play your game. Don't worry about this being your first game.’ It's an exciting time for him, but go play your game. I think with his skill level and his talent, he's just going to get better and better and better.”

— Rangers' Gerard Gallant on Nils Lundkvist's NHL debut

Am I wrong in thinking Goodrow will look more effective at center? Obviously his ability to win faceoffs will be a good thing. I just kinda feel like he's been very unnoticeable the first 2 games and in pre season. Nagging injury maybe?

I think that bottom 6 looks very bleak and lame. When everyone gets healthy and back on the roster, I'd rather see.

Lafreniere-Zibanejad-Kravtsov

Panarin - Strome- Kakko

Kreider-Chytil- Gauthier/Blais

Rooney- Goodrow- Blais/Gauthier/Reaves

Anyway,  big spot for Chytil tonight. Gotta prove a little something with this opportunity to play with the big gun. Then again I could see the brainstrust going with Goodrow or Rooney as Panarins center.

MTL's looked pretty weak so far this season.

Tonight of course they will look like the Stanley Cup finalists and the most cohesive team we've ever seen on the ice and likely light up the scoreboard while their goalie does his best Playoff Price impression.

Gauthier needs to pay attention to how Gallagher plays infront of our net. Gauthier looked pretty good using his size to be like Kreider against Dallas. More smart positioning when he doesn't have the puck, will make him a better player.  I hope this is something Gallant is implanting in his head. It's not something I noticed him doing in the past.

If we get Kreider,  Gauthier and Blais doing this kind of stuff, this team becomes that "harder to play against" group and I feel like that style radiates through the team and energizes everyone.  Gotta have that buzz. We saw it midway through the 2nd against Dallas. It didn't seem to carry over into the 3rd. It was very noticeable by the end of the 2nd and the Garden fans let them know it.

I hope they can harness that and just figure a way to get players to buy in.

really hoping the kid breaks out. not much to show for it yet but he’s one hell of a hard worker, puts in serious time on and off the ice. you hear this shit all the time he’s really the first one to the rink without fail and has a routine of meditation and mindset training attached to every game. have to believe it’s gonna pay off in a big way.

still feels like we’re on the Kakko timeline but I can’t wait to see him explode. hopefully we get a little glimpse tonight.

Has Kakko exploded? Must have missed it

only the rangers can draft #1 and 2 and only have “developing players”

"Exploded" is all relative. Just have to keep lowering the bar and you'll eventually get there, I guess.

I dream about poutine. It's fucking awesome.

I actually had a pretty bad ass Poutine burger at Bar Louie in Mohegan Sun in Wilkes Barre last week (night cook and bar tender are great, the complete opposite can be said of the day staff).

This picture does it little justice.  It was way more messy and melted. I shared the image to show what was on/in it.
