[RS] (#28) Rangers v. Philadelphia Flyers // Luck of the Irish

Recommended Posts

A 7-goal period. Holy fucking shit. I was at the game in 1971 when the Rangers beat the California Golden Seals 12-1. They took out Gilles Meloche after 9 goals (in tears). Still, I don't think they had 7 goals in a period.

I went to the 85 game when the Rangers beat the Oilers 9-7 or 8

We dropped acid and waited on line for beers at the redline in the blues

The concession was facing the game and the beers were gigantic then

The view was perfect so we went to the end of the line with 2 beers each and by the time we were done we were at the front of the line

Epic night to say the least

Not that night, but often I'd go to the Empire State Building after games in the late 80s and cruise to the top with doors and beers and chill at the top

Good ole days

8-7. I remember reading about it in one of my Rangers books. The Mike Rogers Era.
