2021 Training Camp: Up to 36 Skaters; Unlimited Goalies

The way this season will begin, it throws fans right into the action too. Usually we get to see a little bit of camp, then the requisite pre-season games. Now, it's going feel like hitting the top of the roller coaster sitting in the front seat and you finally open your eyes after the long climb up. That said, I'm ready for it!! LGR! :pbjtime:

PS - Beers and wings for the first game? My son is banking on it. LOL (At home)

There’s hasn’t been much praise for that line from those watching the streams.

All the top 3 lines have been together throughout camp so far.

(Get gauthier off that line and put a lefty there!)

Hasn't been much news, period. Kinda frustrating but understandable

I mean, the top 2 lines were pretty set in stone going into camp. That's not really a surprise that they have been together. And contrary to your conspiracy theory about Laf having to play opposite a lefty because he can only set up one timers, they seem to like that line enough to have kept it together.

Seems like Miller is making the team.

Historically, a lot of rookies who are not actually ready make the club with a good camp. Chytl, Howden and Hajek fall into this category in recent years. With such a short camp, there would be even less of a basis for Miller to make it, but hey, given the alternatives, I won't fight it.

Have to assume the first round/all cuts coming today or tomorrow.

My guess:

Kreider - Zibanejad- Buchnevich

Panarin - Strome - Kakko

Lafreniere - Chytil - Gauthier

DiGiuseppe - Rooney - Howden

Lemieux

Lindgren - Fox

Miller - Trouba

Johnson - DeAngelo

Smith

Taxi:

Kinkaid

Bitetto

Blackwell

Hajek

Reunanen

Barron

The D emergence is really exciting. I honestly totally forgot about Lundqvist until somebody mentioned him last week. We've come a long, long way from dreaming on Bryce Lampman and Thomas Kloucek.

I love Deangelo, but he really just needs to shut up for a calendar year so they can maximize that return. There's no way there's a long term spot for him here, particularly so as he's, rightly or wrongly, a liability to the organization.

Well, that answers that. Robertson playing with the team for now. Good for both Miller and Robertson to have good showings.

Only 3 guys on the entire roster under 6' tall. I know there's not a lot of fighters on this roster but the size is respectable.
