I didn't know anything was wrong with him. I'm assuming Panarin is good to go too?

Nice to have Rangers hockey again. With a young team and a lot of guys still trying to find their footing and all, I didn't like having this long of a break. Oh well. The playoffs are a long shot, but they really need to win both of these games. Detroit is truly a terrible team.

— David Quinn on shaking up the defensive pairs

Reading between the lines without him specifically mentioning names, he hasn't liked how Brady Skjei has been playing and it's hard to blame him. Right now, he's simply not playing like a first pairing or even a high end second pairing defenseman.

Hockey is back and along with it is your very old old old old NYR fan. Miss me? Nah!. Back to back against the lowly Red Wings smells like a couple of possible trap games. Will be - as usual - encamped in front of the TV with remarkable clarity alongside my long long, long, long, long time honey bunch rooting' the B.I.B. onto victory. See ya'.... T.G.

That's as pessimistic and Naysayer as it gets.

5-0 Rangers. 1st SO for Shesterkin.
