You knew they didn't have a chance once it hit 3 on 3. The talent gap is too large. Just the way they possess the puck. It's very hard to "out-work" the other team when it's 3 on 3....comes down to talent.

It really doesn't matter. Nobody below them is going to win any games, either. We went through this last year. They'll be +/- 2 spots from where they are now at the end of the year.

Great. Be minus-two, then. Improved odds are improved odds. And they apply to more than just the number one pick. Teams can only fall so far, too.

You're ignoring the big picture. If they flame out that means guys you need to develop and be productive/effective are not, thus you're that much further behind.
