josh Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Hartnell retires after 17 seasons https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/1619115 Every young kid from a small town across Canada dreams of playing a game in the NHL ... I was fortunate enough to play 1,249 of them. A huge thank you to the Nashville Predators (twice), the Philadelphia Flyers, and the Columbus Blue Jackets. You are all world class organizations and it was an honor playing for your cities! (Seventeen) years in the NHL was the best job anyone could ever ask for. The games, the fans, the travel, the hotels, the food, the pregame soccer games, are just some of the things that I will always remember and miss. ... Thanks again to my family, friends & all of the fans that cheered for me (and against) along the way. I'm looking forward to spending more time with my wife Katie and son Wesley. Cheers to the NHL, and the next phase of life! pic.twitter.com/Cn6Arbd4zi ? Scott Hartnell (@Hartsy43) October 1, 2018
Phil Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Love love loved this guy. He's got a career in broadcasting waiting for him, for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Stephen Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Love love loved this guy. He's got a career in broadcasting waiting for him, for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk That would make absolute sense. If not given a job at NBC, he should be covering the team he used to play for in the Flyers and their cringeworthy mascot
jsm7302 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Really loved watching this guy play. Road to the winter classic was awesome and he played a major role on that Philly team.
josh Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 Notice he didn't thank Jeff Carter. Did he (Scott) thank his wife?
Kevin Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 17 years...not bad for a shitty skater that gives hope to all the shitty skating hockey players out there!

Slobberknocker Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Throw back guy. Not to many of his kind anymore. Best of luck Scottie.
