Dunny
We own the rights to the best goalie not in the NHL, the #1 goalie prospect in the world. I'm not worried about goaltending.

Top 5, not best. Regardless, nothing to worry about in net. Although the Islanders are in better position with two great goalie prospects.
The Dude
Umm, that's 14 forwards. Nevermind. Damn Southern Tier .
The Dude
Buchnevich had the second most fights behind McLeod. McLeod can?t win shit. Getting roughed up is the worst way to start a season. They need to play hard, every shift. McLeod going head first into the boards isn?t going to inject energy into the guys. We?ve all played on a team where ?this? guy is kept around. It?s always a joke in the lockerroom and an embarrassment to the team. Nevermind that Mcleod is likely friends with the entire Preds roster still. I believe he did nothing against them when Vesey got nailed by one of their guys. No reason for Mcleod to be on the roster. I'd rather carry a third goalie. The Dude
Agreed, but who do we put instead? Lias on for 7 mins a game? Fogarty? Sent from my Z981 using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk Roll 4 lines. Spread out ice time and adjust mid game by sliding players up and down the lineup. There's a very VERY big chance one or two of Hayes, Namestnikov, Vesey, Chytil and Spooner are going to play like shit from game to game. Glad Howden is getting a look, but I feel Andersson deserved and fit the job better. Mcleod being here is just awful.
Pete
Andersson didn't earn a thing with his preseason. Not sure how anyone can say he deserves a spot.
Fatfrancesa
I’m just curious to why everyone here thinks McLeod made the team? Other than Quinn and Gorton are idiots.
Dunny
Beleskey got hurt and who else should have been the 13th? I don't see any other obvious choice besides Beleskey.

Kevin
Everyone getting hot in the ass about McLeod. He does the job he's asked to do. Soon enough he won't matter but this roster isn't strong enough that the 13th forward is that big a deal. In two years, if a guy like McLeod is on the roster, then we can all be pissed. Now? What difference does it make. And Andersson needed to earn his spot and he didn't. Regardless, Hartford is the best place for him right now. Giacomin
I agree with you. 12 guys aren't going to be injury, sick or slump free. However, the roster and situation does not really call for it. We are not deep enough and we have nobody compelling as a 13th. The youngsters in the lineup should play every night and usually don't need a night off. Additionally, I think the Rangers want a forward who can 'deal', McLeod became the only one, once Belesky went down. Fatty, I answered you question earlier (see above - Dunny take me off ignore). Dunny, Kevin, Rodrigue, among others, realize we do not have enough vet depth at forward to offer a good option. We also all agree that with Belesky hurt there are no gritty alternatives to McLeod at forward. That some do not like McLeod, even in his most appropriate role, just means that most of us would prefer a guy like Roussel or Shaw or Martin, who can at least make some hockey plays or PK. In a year or so, we can upgrade this area. For now, I'm glad we have some size and toughness on D with McQuaid, Smith and Claesson.

Giacomin
BTW, those saying mgmt made no moves to add toughness are ignoring our only two acquisitions. Only FA was Claesson, though we tried to get Reaves, Komorov, and others, but their contracts would not work for us. Those are "tough" guys. Our only trade was for McQuaid. Phil
Won?t be effective in that role with a bum shoulder It was a separation. I don't believe it required surgery to repair. I doubt his shoulder is jacked. If it is, though, you're right. He has been here when players got run and did nothing. When he does fight, he gets his ass kicked. He's useless. He can't skate, can't fight, can't contribute in a hockey role. I'd rather carry a skill player or a special teams specialist. Why carry a tough guy that isn't even tough anymore? I'm not exactly sure how Andersson didn't earn his spot and Howden did... Both had pretty lame pre seasons.

Giacomin
Neither is Claesson is he? True, he does have size and will work to keep the crease clear. Komorov is pretty damn physical. Maybe he was less so last year, but he is slowing down. He can't catch people any more.
