paddynyc
Lets Go Rangers !!!! 3 in a row. If the Rangers really wanted to tank they'd rest Hank.
4EverRangerFrank
Just as long as we make measurable changes still, I'll enjoy the wins.
pws85nyr
I'm calling it, Pionk with his 1st NHL point tonight (an assist) in front of his hometown crowd. I'm fine still winning so long as the changes still happen. Would be hilarious if our AHL D corps gets us into the playoffs. Would be valuable experience. If they aren't going to tank and have a chance at the lottery, then I see playoff hockey as more valuable than the 11th pick rather than the 7th. thes5
Wow, look at that D line up. Guess we will find out what we have with these kids. Why wasn't Graves called up instead?
Future
Wow, look at that D line up. Guess we will find out what we have with these kids. Why wasn't Graves called up instead? Think they just called up the righty, Sproul, instead. But I don't really get why Holden couldn't be moved into that third pair spot, unless they want DeAngelo partnered with someone more....reliable?... thes5
Has anybody stooped to think that, uh.. Graves isn't very good? Don't pay too much attention to Hartford other than what I read occasionally. I figured he wasn't progressing, but didn't realize he was that far down the depth chart. Dunny
I don't have any idea, either, other than what I can glean from here and boxscores. How's his skating? It's not mentioned in the few scouting reports I've seen.

pws85nyr
I went to see the Marlies play the Wolfpack this year and what I will say is he is one big dude up close. I was pretty smashed so couldn't comment on how well he played [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

pws85nyr
Your drunken observation would be better than 85% of what?s on social media. This is true. That's why I don't have a Facebook account lol. He seemed decent to me, a slightly more mobile version of Staal with a much better shot. An upgrade considering the $5M in change over Staal. However, I do get why we have called up 3 puck moving D men who can skate over Graves. It's the way the league is going. josh
Has anybody stooped to think that, uh.. Graves isn't very good? I dont watch. And when I have, I didnt notice him, good or bad. I asked a few guys on twitter. They all said Graves could, but youngblood has been hot recently. Sproul played 20+ games last season for Detroit - maybe the experience is an issue. Scott
Seen him play 5 times this year and about 10 last year and just not impressed at all. Simply based on the eye test.

Giacomin
One common thread I see with call ups is that the Rangers like to call up players who are hot or recently improved. They brought DeAngelo back up cause he had 6-8 good games. Nieves was the best forward when they called him up. Letteiri was playing well, maybe best when his turn was next. Heard Pionk and Gilmour were both playing their best hockey of the year, just before their call up. Now Sproul supposedly had a few good games. Also think AV prefers the experience with all the kids already on the blueline. The word on Graves is that he has been fine. His skating is good for his size. Would like to know what mgmt thinks of the kid and if he is going to get a chance late in the year? Not sure we should write him off just because of the Sproul move.
