  1. I've actually been involved in a similar case. I was 18, the girl(s) was 16/17. It was a party going too far and things ended up getting filmed. None of the girls said anything at the moment, clearly knowing that things were filmed (with flashlight in a dark room). The videos got sent around and one of the girls (that had a boyfriend at the time) regret what she did that night and claimed she was "too drunk to remember anything". She went to the police weeks after the incident and reported it as rape, eventhough it was clearly no rape. The videos showed it and her friends testified against it. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but I just want to say that there's a HUGE difference between a video (even if the girl claim she didn't consent to the videos being taken/sent) and rape and its important to remember that. There's no nuances with rape. Oh, and ruining a boys career and future over this is very extreme. He will be punished, people will remember what he did, but man has this been blown out of proportion. I don't know about you old heads, but this is pretty "normal" nowadays (no, im not trying to justify it, im just saying it happens WAY more often than people think). You should obviously be punished for it, but not get your life ended.
  2. Nah, Nemeth is gonna play. They dont pay a dude 2.5m for 3 years to watch the games on TV. You sign a guy thats not really good, but has a "use case" to a league minimum to be 7/8th D. Most likely it will be Jones and Tinordi as the 7th and 8th D. Jones is a small, puck-moving rookie so it makes sense that the other dude is an experienced 6'6 face puncher.
  3. Looks like he deleted the tweet. Strange. He just said that TBL might do with Point what they did with Kuch and Hedman(?), by signing him a year before the current contract is up. He mentioned 8x9.5m.
  4. Maybe Dadonov to take Smith's spot so they can include him in an Eichel trade?
  5. Probably traded for a 2025 6th round pick to save cap for 2023.
  6. Lol anyone seen Vally's tweet? I don't know how to add the tweet, but he said something like "If Strome is traded... Mika Zibanejad, Phillip Danault, Barclay Goodrow, Ryan Getzlaf" I have no idea if he's just messing around or what, but that seems like too much change.
  7. I guess there's no way Mika gets 10m if Point signs for 9.5m, right? [someone insert Friedman's tweet here( )]
  8. I knew he would get his ass kicked when I watched how he took his gloves off lol. He didn't want to be in that fight at all.
  9. I don't think anyone has said anything close to that. You get so defensive with Strome lol. Its just that with a "soft, skill-only 1C" making 9-10m its not a good fit having a 2C thats also extremely "soft and skill-only" making ~6m. Besides having chemistry with Panarin (and yes, I know he played ~10 games without Panarin) what does he bring to the table? He's not good defensively, he dont PK, he's not good at faceoffs. Its a lot to pay 6m just because "he puts up points and has chemistry with our star". Panarin's worst season in the NHL was 31g, 74p in 82 games. He will be just fine without Strome.
  10. LMAO, I just repped you, but I would do it again if I could.
  11. I thought there was an agreement to not open anymore threads with the words "Tony DeAngelo" in it. They just never ends lol. Thanks for some fun moments and games Tony. You could've been a really good player.
  12. Im just here to see who's getting banned this off-season. Not suprised so far lol. Imma go back to enjoying the summer, hope you all do aswell!
  13. lmao I was so high I misread your post  Lets hope none of us gets it right
  14. This will 100% be bumped at some point, so why not go for a long rep bet I think he's gone after 2 and a half season. Makes the playoffs both seasons, but out in the 1st round both times.
  15. An older, "shittier" Zibanejad thats better at faceoffs and is a SC champion? I'll take that on the 3rd line.
  16. Lmao! They switched wifes' for a weekend or were both trying to bang behind the others back? Anyway, what an amazing story lol
  17. I want no part of him just because screaming his name while drunk gonna make me choke myself. How the fuck do you even pronounce that shit? Im getting dizzy just reading it
  18. Incredible how Tampa has a team with Vasilevsky (Top 3 goalie in the league), Hedman (Top 3 D), Kucherov (Top 3 winger) and Stamkos/Point and not have anyone on that list.
  19. Christian Pulisic becomes the first American to win the UCL, and he did it for the best club in the world. https://theathletic.com/news/christian-pulisic-champions-league-final-chelsea-man-city/HZ7lqB3lzuVa UP THE CHELS!
  20. Well, everyone knows that, so I dont see the reason in pointing it out EVERYTIME we talk about Lundkvist (or any other european player). You didnt hear people say "he's only played against kid, take it easy" when people were hyping McDavid pre-draft, or with any other NA talent for that matter. We know SHL and WC aint NHL very well, but we can still see how good a player is. Can we not just let the people who watch Lundkvist play discuss his game and the people who want to point out that SHL and other competitions is not the NHL can make a own thread about that?
  21. LOL Yeah, I said something like that earlier in this thread It certainly feels like there's a lack of real leader in this group, but they need someone. Going into the 3rd season in a row without a Captain is a problem.
  22. He was bossing that tournament as a 20 year old. With no Rangers hockey in 3+ months I dont really see the problem. It was either play a meaningfull (WC is not pointless for people outside of the US. Winning a WC is a big deal for a lot of players) tournament or sitting at home in Sweden (where the Covid situation is out of control). He showed he was levels above almost everyone at the tournament at 20 y/old, sucks with the injury, but hopefully its not a big deal and he will be ready for next year. I've said the last two years that I have Lundkvist ahead of Miller on the "D prospect depth chart", and I still do. In today's NHL where his size won't be a big problem, he's gonna be a stud. Im just scared its gonna be somewhere else (please dont trade him).
