  1. Looks like it was a smart move to jump ahead of NJ to pick Schneider as they picked a defenseman with their pick. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  2. Jacob Perrault Would be cool to see a French Canadian line of Lafreniere?Perrault?Gauthier Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  3. Saw a rumor of him going to Minn. to play with Zuccarello. Either way he needs to jump in a seat before the music stops or he?s out of the game. Do you guys think Benoit Alliare had any say in who we kept? Or was it purely a cap decision? Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  4. If that?s the case then we?ve been linked to Stamkos like 3, maybe 4x. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  5. If we are looking for a LHD who played under Jacques Martin in Pittsburgh why don?t we wait as see what Chicago does with Olli Maatta. Rumor was he may be brought out with Chicago looking to clear cap. He?s 26 and played under Martin from 2013-2019 and was on both Stanley Cup teams. 6. Ok, so if you are right then we are back to the 14 mil. in cap with ADA, Strome, Lemieux, Georgiev, DiGuessepe to sign plus ALF entry level contract. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  7. Capfriendly doesn?t show any bonuses for Panarin. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  8. Ahh! Yah! We are talking about the performance bonuses of this past year. So those bonuses count toward this year cap. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  9. Have you seen the article from Anthony Scultore of ForeverBlueshirts, he an excerpt: Bottom line is this, they Rangers may have $14 million in cap space but need to reserve at least $4-5 million for performance bonus for players on ELCs. And once they add Lafreniere, that number will rise. So if you want to understand this and the ramification, please read the article. For now, here?s the performance bonuses totaling $7.2 million they need to account for. Igor Shesterkin can earn an additional $2.85M Kaapo Kakko can earn an additional $2.65M Adam Fox can earn an additional $850K Filip Chytil $350K Julien Gauthier $300K Ryan Lindgren $212K If this is right then so much for entry level contracts when a 925k base gives you another 2.85 mil. or 2.65 mil. in bonuses. 10. If you don?t mind be asking where do Dylan Holloway & Jacob Perreault fall in their mock? Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  11. Is Brooks doing Boomer a favor writing this article I wouldn?t say no to it but I wouldn?t give him more the $1.5 mil. per??that?s my max not a penny more Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  12. Interesting read on Arizona there, where?s all their money gone if they can?t pay the rent on the stadium, let alone pay their own players salaries on time. Yet they say they are trying hard to re-sign Taylor Hall and are only $1 mil. under the cap. Even if they are able to trade EOL and use his cap hit spot to re-sign Hall?-how will they even pay him. Definitely a team that will be dumping salary. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  13. Yes, but Philadelphia is a train ride away, AV is their HC and Elliott is a UFA?-Cart Hart is making the minimum salary. Could that be an appealing spot for him to land. Of course if they?d want Georgiev instead and we could squeeze Morgan Frost out of them in a package. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  14. I think the point is a little off here, Lundqvist has a cap hit of 8.5 mil. but an actual salary of 4.5 mil. once he gets his 1 mil. bonus. There should be teams out there looking for the cap hit to reach the cap floor without paying the actual. So players like Lundqvist and Smith who?s cap hit is 4.35 mil?- 2.35 mil actual after his 1 mil. signing bonus should be tradeable. 15. I?ve seen a couple of articles?Blue seats Blog & Blueshirt Forever talking of Tarmo Reunanen, a 22 yr old LHD who?s in our system. 1 of our top defensive prospects. Questioning why he has yet to be loaned out to a Europe League?-basically alluding to the fact that he hasn?t because we plan on having him our our team next year. Any chance of that? This from blue seats blog: As the Rangers organize a mass exodus of their prospects to the European leagues. One name is surprisingly absent from this list. Tarmo Reunanen, who has spent the last four seasons in Finland, is not currently on loan to a team in Liiga yet. Reunanen, who signed his ELC with the Rangers last year, was loaned last year and was expected to be loaned this year. Reunanen has had a pair of strong seasons with Luuko, putting up seasons of 6-19-25 in 58 games and 5-14-19 in 51 games. He plays a very well rounded game, makes a smart first pass, and is generally very poised with the puck. He was the highest scoring defenseman on the team in that 25 point season. Penciled In For An NHL Role? The Rangers are very thin on left defense. Their top LD following the Brady Skjei trade was Brendan Smith. With Smith likely gone to clear cap space, Ryan Lindgren and Marc Staal are your left defensemen. It?s assumed K?Andre Miller will need a bit of time in the AHL, despite a strong camp showing in July. There?s no need to rush him from the NCAA?s to the pros. Since both Yegor Rykov and Libor Hajek are on loan, that leaves Reunanen. Hajek can be recalled, but let?s be real, he wasn?t that good. Based off Hajek?s NHL performance, the Rangers have nothing to lose by seeing what Reunanen can do. Remember, he?s been playing in the top Finnish league for a few years now. While certainly not a guarantee to make the club, Reunanen is what the Rangers need right now. He plays a very smart game and is a solid puck mover. Lindgren has been good, but he?s not a noted puck mover. The left side of the defense was exploited by Carolina for their inability to move the puck, and Reunanen partially addresses this. 16. This was what I found: Profile photo, opens profile page on Twitter in a new tab VP Sport @VPsporten Han fick v?nta n?stan fem m?nader p? att spela match igen. Men n?r Stanley cup-slutspelet v?l inleddes tog det slut n?stan innan det hann b?rja. Nu ?r N?ssj?b?rdige Jesper Fast kontraktsl?s och framtiden ?r oviss. https://vetlandaposten.se/artikel/jesper-fast-kontraktslos-efter-jobbiga-slutspelet-jag-ar-oppen-for-allt? #twittpuck Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  17. Getting back to what was said earlier about team having an internal cap. ( saw an article on Buffalo ownership asking its coaching staff to take a pay cut and laying off front office staff etc..) And couple that with an article in Blue Seats Blog written by Dave where he says teams will be going to an internal cap meanwhile Dolan will just spend. Makes our outlook look good, I mean teams will be looking to drop salary and as long as we can stay under the real cap we can get a steal or two. Plus it also looks like a bad year for free agents to get their big payday. P.S. article also mentions Smith cap hit vs his actual contract for next year, referencing how a team would trade for his cap hit while saving on his actual salary. 18. Don?t know how credible he is but Anthony Scultore of ForeverBlueshirts has an article on Fast where he says that he met with management and that he won?t be back. Jesper Fast: ?It would have been fun to stay, I?m open for anything.? By Anthony Scultore On his future with the Rangers ?We have had discussions, but it is still uncertain how it will go,? Fast said. The question not asked was when those discussions took place. What Fast went on to explain is that he doesn?t expect to have any further discussion until after the draft and right before free agency. ?I have to wait that time,? he finished. On September 1st, I spoke to a source with knowledge of the situation that told me ?the window has passed.? This statement and what Fast reveals is that those discussion took place before my article. ?Both me and my wife have really appreciated these seven years in New York,? Fast continued, ?I had a good role with the team.? Then his comments seemed to hint that his time with the Rangers was done. ?It would have been fun if I got the chance to stay. At the same time, a new role would be exciting. I?m open to anything.? Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  19. I draft a player like Perrault, Grieg, or Holloway. Re-sign Strome to a short deal and give that pick a couple of years to mature and be ready to step in. I think that?s makes the most sense. We are not 1 player away from winning it all, we are not even contenders yet. So why over pay for someone who?s not a game changer. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  20. Draft Perrault, Grieg,or Holloway. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  21. Can anyone break down the Pittsburgh/Toronto deal that way just make? I just wondering how that deal could help us in evaluating a possible deal of our Carolina pick. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  22. Are there any draft picks who look like they can make the team this year? Would you trade Strome and Carolinas pick to move up and draft Anton Lundell. I know not every 1st Rd pick makes the team right off the bat but he looks to be a sure bet. His numbers compare to Kakko in the world JR?s. And in the SHL. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  23. I wouldn?t mind keeping that 2nd 1st Rd pick if Holloway, Perrault or Grieg are still there when we?re picking. Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  24. I agree, especially on Lindholm and Jenner Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  25. That kind of sucks because we DID have Lindros but we could have had him in his prime. And I think we had Gordie Howe in our minor league system and didn?t sign him?would he count toward this scenario? Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
