Phil, if you're anything like me, you will find the ending of aFFC as satisfying as I did. I was thoroughly happy with it.

So I got to do quite a bit of reading this last week and I'm around 50 pages from concluding "A Feast for Crows"

Just got out of the Foo Fighters show at the Rock.

My mind is blown.

Catelyn died, remember? Jaime should have some chapters, but as he isn't paired with Brienne anymore they are more boring than before. Same goes for Briennes chapters, those two really are a good pairing on so many levels. :)

Anyway, they have to do it differently for TV if they come that far, cause no casual fan of the TV-series is gonna watch through this.

FFC is definitly the toughest one, as nearly none of the remaining fan favorites is in it and this time Aryas chapters are a bit boring as well

and SoS was a climax point of the series, with all the events that happened. Also with the high number of characters dying in SoS, FFC has to introduce a whole bunch of new chars and that takes its time.

If I could, I would merge FFC and DWD into one book with nearly 2000 pages :D. Would lighten the load of all the King's Landing chapters FFC has.

I've TOTALLY quit on FFC. I'm maybe 300 pages in and I just...cant. It's a real crawl.

I urge you to press on. The last 300 pages of SOS are like an utter shitstorm of terror.

Not really a spoiler so I won't mark it as so, but the development of Loras as a character is getting better and better as time goes on.

That's pretty good considering I cannot get to SI in 30 minutes and it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to get here yesterday. I'm really happy with how not far away I live from school.

17 (is it 86 yet?) is a winding shitbag of a road. I-80/380/81 is like being Moses at the Red Sea by comparison.

I will say this - 17 during a light snow is absolutely beautiful. I will never forget that drive.
