I've watched the OT goal about 50 times.
Zib caught that that on the absolute screws- if this were an ESPN baseball broadcast they'd have the exit velo up 2 seconds later, Aaron Judge esq..... But even more impressive is that pass by Panarin, bracketed by 3 guys, with one draped on him, with his hands tied up, makes a perfect pass right on the numbers.
Panarin might not get in the Hart finalist group, but I'm not sure there is a guy who actually fits the bill as Most Valuable Player as much as he has. There are guys with more goals or points, but this season he's put up I'd stack up next to anyone in the entire league and feel damn good about it.

Mika is a bad mofo.

Why do they insist on dropping the puck back into dangerous territory. It’s hard to let up a goal when you dump the puck in the neutral zone or God forbid het the puck in the islanders zone.

That?s a hell of a defection

The Toronto pick will not convey to Carolina if its in the top 10. I'd assume best case is 13-14
And in all honestly I'm basing this "Carolina gets to choose what pick we get" from Brooks, so I may very well be talking out of my ass.

Carolina gets to pick what pick we get in the draft their own or Toronto's.. If they both miss the playoffs its good for us.

Surprising goal-tending: Hank rediscovers 2014 Hank and Georgiev is terrific (jacking up his value).
The offense continues to outpace the defensive shortcomings and we leapfrog Columbus and Carolina for the 2nd WC. (Columbus is dead in the water I think already).
Root like hell for both Carolina and Toronto fall apart like a 2 dollar suit in the rain the rest of the way.
Making the playoffs and getting a pick in the early teens for Brady would be the best possible outcome here.

why? everyone here wanted Skjei and his contract gone.
Carolina has no cap room.. trying to see what the other shoe to drop is

do we want their pick or Toronto's?

Perhaps I spoke too soon

Looking for a silver lining... Hopefully this gives Georgie the chance to improve his trade value big time.

7 years is horrific. I cant get over how badly a valuable chip was mismanaged

Its all going to hell in a hand basket

It's really going to be funny when the presser is to announce exciting new changes to the scouting staff in Europe.

well shit. I was hoping that was the Brady trade

Thats a big return, even if the 3rd never happens

I want at least one valuable asset brought into the organization.
All UFAs need to be signed or dealt today.
I hope they dont get hosed on any trades
I don't worry about getting hosed on the trades as much as I do signing the RFA's. Those are the deals that give me the squirts.
Jacob Trouba Hit on Michael Dal Colle
in New York Rangers
Posted
The shitty thing is Trouba has 3 options. 1) Light him up and risk the ever evolving definition of a major penalty and/or suspension 1.a) Light him up and hope the geometry works out and you don't get called. 2) Avoid the hit peeling off, but risk a trip or knee on knee 3) make a hard right and let him blow right by
I hate the head shots, but the puck carrier has to have some responsibility for not having his head up. The defender is really in a tough spot in a play that is moving really freaking fast. All that being said and I'm being honest, if Dal Colle hit Fox in a carbon copy play, I'd be livid.
