  1. You know who's a bum? That gutless Russian Artemi Panarin! Guy might be scoring goals now but in 4 years? Bet he won't be throwing checks then! Should've signed Art Panarini. Good ole Canadian Boy from Moose Jaw who PLAYS THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY!
  2. If Panerin leads the league in scoring for a majority of this contract, is it not worth it? His personal performance is 100% a factor here. Big contracts are manageable when players live up to them, and that?s true here. Someone was going to get that contract on this team if it was successful, it just happened to be him. Panarin being a winger is immaterial if he has the ability to be more than just a goal scorer, which he has clearly shown. Playmaking wingers get paid too, which is why a guy like Marner got his contract.
  3. We will have to agree to disagree. I don?t think there?s nearly enough data to make that conclusion.
  4. 1. We don?t know that. 2. They probably wouldn?t even bring him over right away, which is fine. 3. You keep referencing his NHL play when it?s been established that that isn?t really fair given the circumstances. I don?t know how many Edmonton games you?ve watched over the time he?s been there, but my guess is it?s under 20. I don?t really understand how you can have such a concrete idea of who he is or his failures as a player.
  5. I just don?t get how you can have that take when you look at the circumstances of the teams he was playing with and the injury issues he was going through. I?m not saying I watched a ton of Edmonton games by any means, but this is not something that has been reported that I?ve seen anywhere, and again... hard to judge when you factor in everything else surrounding him and that team generally speaking.
  6. This organization from a development standpoint is very different than it was, but that aside: he?s a guy who needed to get healthy more than anything. He needed surgery on both hips, and the team told him nah, you just suck. I would absolutely take a shot at adding that kind of talent. I don?t know where or why you come to the conclusion that he has an issue with NHL coaching styles, but I would strongly disagree with this being a major concern.
  7. This is cutting off your nose to spite your face. His game and it?s growth shouldn?t be stifled because we might have to turn a 3rd into a second. Ideally you?re trading Kreider and getting those assets back anyway.
  8. If you are going to argue that Fox shouldn?t be playing right now it better be a damned good case. This draft is top end heavy. Having a 3rd turn into a second won?t affect anything in terms of getting an impact player right now. Fox is clearly an NHL player. I don?t know that there?s anything else to discuss beyond that.
  9. Because he?s good enough to be here, we have the spot, and he?s not going to get anything from playing in Hartford? He?s earned a spot here, not giving it to him would be detrimental in so many ways. This is a short sighted thought process.
  10. You are taking 3 games and extrapolating an entire career of a 19 year old, one you know virtually nothing about. He used an option that was a freely negotiated part of his contract, something the Rangers didn?t fight, and literally isn?t an issue. This is sensationalism and a really great example of fans sometimes just having to understand that you have to be patient.

  12. They are. Their pitching needs to be sorted out but prior to Herrera beating his girl and McCutchen getting hurt, they were leading this division. They need one more bat with mcutchen back and one more legit arm. I?m hoping they sign Cole.
  13. Looking away from the SS Sadface that is the Mets at the moment, I love the hiring, and I love what it says about where the organizations priorities are.

  15. Antivaxxers also think a kid who has autism has it because they had the vaccine, and their proof is... they had the vaccine. If you don?t understand why your explanation anecdotal at best, I?m sorry.
  16. You?re being stubborn with your characterization of this forum and forums generally, which is clearly what we were talking about lol.
  17. He was drafted by Nashville in the expansion draft but I believe something to do with RFA rights prevented that from happening. This happened twice in some capacity or another.
  18. Yep, hockey?s definitely not niche at all, and social media is definitely not an easier/more casual open platform available. I?m sorry Richie but you?re being stubborn.
  19. Kravstov is losing nothing by going back to Russia. He goes back to a place he?s comfortable with at 19 years old, and will get his confidence/stride back, while still playing against adult competition, and he will be back here for the AHL playoffs, all while burning a year of his ELC. There?s no reason to chicken little a 19 year old kid doing what the rangers happily negotiated into his contract.
  20. I?m judging this on someone who?s on a lot of big forums for a variety of different reasons, and I can tell you forums are becoming less and less used, not more. Social media is taking up a lot of that space and it?s not hard to understand why.
