  1. LGR! This period has 20 minutes. Let?s see it boys. Time for LAF to get one, huh?
  2. We've had plenty of PK practice in recent games, right? Everyone: "Stay out of the f'in box!"
  3. If he plays the way he talks, welcome bud!
  4. Ok, let's hope so and that he is 100% recovered.
  5. Oh-man you made me want to grab a glass of wine and look for some tuscan bread. Geez that sounds great. My wife made a linguine dish with rustic sauce having plenty of capers, kalamata olives and large chunks of tuna that comes jared and packed in olive oil. Too good!
  6. Dude is a Floyd fan? PS - Anyone else catch Roger Waters "Wall" tour at CitiField a few years back? Damn awesome show and such a production - wow.
  7. My 23-year old son is looking to buy a co-op in the next few weeks and move back to NYC. It's been great having him home since March and while I get his desire to make this move and get on with life, the 'flying from the nest' part has me in a melancholy mood. The other guy, 21, is looking to move to NYC too but not that soon -- so I still have my 'sports partner' around for a bit longer. When he moves, that's gonna' be a tough one for this dad. For those of you with young ones, I'll say it again, love 'em up every day as much as you can. The heartfelt joy of a family being close is irreplaceable.
  8. About Bugg?s earlier remarks about the team going to the finals post-Callahan...that squad was dialed in already and everyone was rowing in unison, so not having a Captain wasn?t going to upset the team IMO. I?d give Kreider the C despite saying recently that I?ve given up on him and wouldn?t mind a trade. Giving him the C costs us nothing. It might just make home more accountable. Maybe it massages his ego and stimulates his hockey playing libido? Guy can play the game. He has the tools to be super. Maybe the weight of wearing the C will push him to take off the Casper cape.
  9. Pretty much this. We had a much improved third period and in spite of taking too many penalties (again) we played as near a 60-minute game as any so far this season. Is it just me or does our PP ?look? much better than PIT?s? We really seem to move the puck well and to my eyes at least, appear to have the beginning of something good. Plenty of work left to go and one game doesn?t fix everything but heck, it?s a win.
  10. For teams that can keep playing (each other if needed) how does the season end when a couple or few teams have quite a few games to make up?
  11. That Smith hit was certainly an Expressway collision - holy smoke! Hope he?s ok. Yes, we have plenty of options but skipping Dunn altogether? Not sure about that. He?s playing now and is a known skill set. Compared to our pipeline though? What say you armchair GMs?
  12. 20-24? in Mid-Hudson Valley and still coming down. Snowblower worked well especially where the plow truck absolutely packs the end of the driveway. Took an Aleve and will have a spot of wine with dinner. Sleep will not be a problem tonight.
  13. Not worried. Timing is coming along - everything will be fine.
  14. Might be...my memory is cloudy about it that's why I asked. I was surprised when he left the island.
  15. Q? We had Okposo for a hot minute right? And then he went to the Islanders where he began to shine. I liked his game and think we missed out by letting him go.
  16. Can we please just have a 9-1 win and let us all go to bed happy and satisfied? Is that too much to ask?
  17. I appreciate the heads-up Parsley because for some reason, I just never pay attention to the weather news. I wake up and look outside to learn what the day might bring. You prompted me to make sure I'm not caught out of gas - thx!
