Is the Team FINALLY Beginning to Turn it Around?
4EverRangerFrank replied to WWJD's topic in New York Rangers
@Capt & jsm7302 - your points made are exactly why I think we have the framework of a really good team. If we are able to play .500 hockey with disarray, imagine where we would be if every dog was pulling the sled hard? -
I have a college buddy who is a widely recognized Interior Designer with cover work appearing on Architectural Digest and he would tell me the craziest stories about some of the high-end work he gets to do. Granted, he's having material for drapes and furniture custom colored and woven, rugs made to order and such but still...$100,000 for a kids bedroom? I saw the photos and it was freakin' awesome. The room looked like the cabin of a schooner with curved wooden walls, curved bunk beds, etc., amazing detail and work. A long while ago, I worked with an Attorney who bought and sold 7-figure homes as a hobby/investment/fun. One day I was in his office and he showed me plans for a 12-15,000' spec house he was building that had a 10 or 20 car garage, i don't recall. (He was a car nut.) I tossed out the idea that he should add a single-lane touchless carwash in the massive garage and he loved it, adding it to the plans on the spot. LOL Several years passed and our paths crossed so I asked about that car wash and he said it was THE deciding factor for the buyer.

I might have misspoken about Williams not developing the car...I think it was HAAS that came out with that. You make a great point about the pressure on Shumi though, excellent actually. BOT? I figured after he had his divorce in the rearview mirror that he would have been solid. Maybe Russell is the guy to join HAM for a better rivalry? Overall, I'm quite happy the season is here and the calendar is chock full too.

I just have to say it; I hate 'Gritty' that cheesy POS! In fact, I hate most mascots. Mrs. MET I would bang and cuckhold Mr. MET but everyone else? Bye. -
[brooks] Is the Bigger Risk Trading or Paying Buchnevich?
4EverRangerFrank replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Just when Buch is coming of age...this trade him talk picks up. :palm: -
Thx for starting the thread it’s almost “Lights Out” and away we go. I’m getting psyched too. RB appear to have it dialed in right now and the fight up top should be fun. But with which teams? MB has a few gremlins lurking in the gearbox that they must have an army of engineers working on to fix. Still, the car sounds ‘twitchy’ and might take a bit to sort. I want to see BOT deliver the goods. He talks about preparation. Let’s see it. MB challenges gives McLaren an opportunity- others as well - and might make Bahrain the start of a new world order. (Doubt that happens.) I’m curious about the Williams strategy to just drive the wheels off with no further development. They found new $$$ that seems to be ok with looking towards 2022. My beloved Ferrari team is so perplexing. Sainz doing a nice job and LEC was rushing up top for a little while. I keep reading quotes about how “straight line speed” is good. What’s the translation? Car can’t turn? Ugh another season of smh. ? Netflix series is great and we’ll be watching. The entire premise and execution of that program is great for fans. What sport let’s you peek behind the curtain so regularly? It’s fun and eye-opening.

Is the Team FINALLY Beginning to Turn it Around?
4EverRangerFrank replied to WWJD's topic in New York Rangers
Agree the team has some talented guys. I’m still dumbfounded that they cannot play together consistently for 60-minutes, often. Not just a period here or there we want stretches of games and runs of wins. This season is a perplexing one for sure. -
Been co-op shopping with our oldest son. I like the turn-key units. He likes the ones needing work, “Dad you know how to (fill in the blank.)” Yeah, I do but I’m also glad to hear that the Board will only allow work from licensed/insured contractors. I’m not tearing down bearing walls but putting up a studio-to-1BR dividing wall shouldn’t need engineered plans either.

Thank you for another year of fun on BSBH

*bump* Thx for keeping the playground open during Covid. We all need this ride. -
Parsley - I don’t have dimensions but when laying out a parking area for visitors, or an eat-in counter for the kitchen, I’ve just laid it out with ‘stuff.’ Parked 2 cars on the grass, staked out an area then measured it. Or set out table service for three and measured that. I’ve found it helpful to ‘live the space’ that way so you can get a feel.

Interesting take. Cally does have the leadership quality and has certainly been a skilled warrior who understands the commitment required to play hard-nosed NHL hockey. Does he need the requisite behind-the-bench experience before being handed the reins to a NHL squad? I don't know if I can fully trust my gut saying, "Yeah, he can rise to the challenge" after being reminded that a successful college coach with plenty of bench experience appears to be struggling on B'way.

This from a guy with long hair...recall that Native American culture believes your powers reside in the length of your hair. In reality, it hasn't really worked for me but I'm sticking with it.

Clever music reference.

Superstition has gotten the better of me with these 'day before the game' threads. I enjoy the extra banter but it's giving me the tingles, and not in a good way. If we go on a winning streak, then this whole concept was a brilliant move by whomever started the early thread trend and I'll be entirely on the bus. But if we keep losing...well, I'm not going there just yet. :slats:

Agree Oz that reading this thread was funny as heck! Agree too that this NYR balloon has a serious leak and has landed back on earth. IF not a change to Drury, then at least have JD tell Quinn to play the young guys and damn the outcome, just get them experience and mileage under their belts. Yeah, a few years past "the letter" and this? I'll still stand up for my boys and talk shit with any NJD or NYI fan but inwardly, I'm perplexed. Looking forward to F1, MLS and MLB.
