  1. Media: “Miss the Wilpons yet?” Mets fans: “GTFO!”
  2. I'm not going during this season but will next fall unless some craziness ensues.
  3. Ever date a girl who when she finds the seat down leaves it up for the reaction? She bucked like a bronco!
  4. I wanna’ see Kravtsov pull a Messier when he finally gets into the lineup and ‘guarantee a win.’ That would show bowling ball sized balls. LOL
  5. I’ve set my sights on “we’ll see him this season” so that when he does get in, I’ll be happy.
  6. Fox is amazing. Guy will bring us years of joy. K’Andre too. Both have more offense in their toolkit too I bet. So looking forward to seeing them evolve.
  7. ^Im good with that. LEC needs good competition within the team. What’s up with VET? Is he losing his mind? He’s making poor decisions these past couple of years while mixing in some real sour grapes. Not everything is a result of bad luck. I thought he was mentally tougher than he’s proven himself to be. Sad because when he was brilliant he was a real force to contend with. Ferrari’s troubles seems to have melted his mettle.
  8. ALO showed good pace and had a more than respectable return to F1. Damn wrapper... McLaren is poised to do damage if they can maintain pace. LEC and SAI had 'good' races but what of that Ferrari straight-line speed we kept hearing about? Seem like LEC was falling backwards after the first few laps where he appeared to be able to challenge for position - especially early on BOT, but then? The boys finished P6&8 but a minute back!!! That is not good enough. I'm hoping they find more from that motor.
  9. Everything you guys said - *thumbs*. I mised watching because I had my own race today; Two round-trips into Manhattan from my home an hour north. Just finished on DVR. If this is what this season is going to be about then we are in for super battles. VER and RB off to a great start even without the win. Holy smoke! HAM wanted competition and he’s getting it. Vanilla Bottas I agree but that pit stop. Oy -vey 10.9 seconds. He cannot catch a break. VET is a time-bomb too. Turns into the racing line, loses downforce and breaking, crushes the car then whines. I thought he had thicker skin. #crybaby Juicy battles - yes!
  10. I'm of this sentiment too but to be gair, the guy is trying to make it as a productive hockey player and not the team's enforcer. He needs more game time for me to write him off just yet. Bigger body than Lemieux and more skill via the eye-test. Lemieux did his thing but that was not enough to stay. He's not a CUP difference maker IMO. Naw talk about Essa...if he was like that guy, sure, keep him.
  11. I looked closely during that replay to see this. While it 'appears' that Lemieux's head hitting the ice would be the natural progression, I wonder if they saw that exactly? Sure, Lemieux's hair had ice shavings on it but I think if he had gotten really knocked, he would have had a vastly different reaction. So, maybe the hair-pulling was only that. I'm not making excuses for Morin just going by what I actually saw. Or think I saw. Either way, it was a low rent move. But then again, it's PHI.
  12. Agree. The first team that develops breakouts or other game plans while using the goalie more like a third defenseman will make hay until the others adopt the strategy - kind of like how almost every team uses the 'drop-back' pass on power plays when rushing the puck. Even if you have doubts about doing this 5v5, I would definitely want to see more goalie use on the PK. The unexpected 'turn and pass back to your goalie' rather than crossing the centerline, and then having Igor kill precious seconds before launching the puck down ice would be a new wrinkle to the game.
  13. *Gorton caught smoking one of Sather’s cigars he left in the desk.* “Man these are very different from the Cohibas I’m used to.” *Not a Cohiba, it’s a huge blunt.” Gorton picks up phone, “Eichel? Hell yeah we’re in! Whatever you want man...and I’ve got Dolan’s checkbook right here.” *laughs then cough, cough, cough*
  14. I had the same thought Dunny. Why not let him play? It's not like Quinn has to lay his hands on his shoulders and bless him in some way. Sit someone and let him roll. Kid has skills, let's see them. Oh, now I get it. Quinn wants to be the first to bench him if he makes a bad play. *sarcasm*
  15. To circle back to the thread Q for just a second; Do we really want Eichel with everything we will have to give up? I am not convinced it would be a good idea.
  16. Full Moon is legit! Love their pizza. Thx for tip on mozzarella I’ll get some next trip. Teitel has truffle cheese that’s OMG good and you can never go wrong with the Grand Cru Parmesan. teitelbros.com they do have mail order.
  17. We're fans of EDDA that we get at Teitel's on Arthur Ave - Bronx. (They have tremendous cheeses too - Prima Donna, the buffalo ricotta from Italy they get delivered during the week is pure food sex and their meats are delicious. Ask for Eddie - tell him Frank Auctioneer sent you.) Many years back, I scammed our (wife, mother-in-law and me) way into the Fancy Food Show at Javit's Center using a tax ID from my antique car business. Unreal scene!! The Italian olive oil row was 50 yards long, the Spanish olive oil row was another 50 yards long...plus olive vendors, cheeses, breads...it was amazing and tasty as all get out. Samples galore too, EXCEPT when you went to leave, they must have pissed off the Electrical Union because those guys made you empty you samples into huge garbage pails on the way out. My mother in law was so pissed, she threw her bottle into the pail and made sure it broke a few other bottles. She cursed them out in Italian! That sucked not being able to take home all of that loot!
  18. Thanks for sharing Karan. My son and I have been too busy to watch Netflix "Drive to Survive" but hoping for the dust to settle so we can get ourselves tuned for F1 starting soon. Excited.
  19. I’m not putting forth the effort to watch enough Euro games, but when I do see Son play he’s noticeably solid. I’m a BeinSports junkie anytime I’m on the treadmill.
  20. Buch is proving consistency and full rink capabilities in all situations. You need those guys on your team and he seems well-liked too. Certainly started out as a bit of an odd-ball but he’s grown on me and I think, the team.
