Pretty unlucky that the one kid they weren't counting on to reach their potential when handing out contracts is the one that's doing it. Goodrow may be the odd man out but then how soft is the team gonna be? Back to the pre-Tom Wilson incident? Either that was never an issue in hindsight or it'll become an issue again. All those somewhat off-topic issues aside, I do what I can to keep Chytil especially if he continues to fit and succeed on that 2nd line. We now see what chemistry with Panarin can be worth with Trocheck not clicking so well after Strome.

Sure feels like last year's team again, and I don't know if that's a good thing or not. Glad to win here I just think they could look so much better doing it. Defense is still atrocious, no system. But if they're winning I don't think the changes that are needed to take the next step will come.

Laf - Mika - Kakko Bread - Chytil - Krav Othmann - Trocheck - Kreider Cuylle - Goodrow - Gauthier That's a deep ass team if the (new) kids are ready. Laf - Mika - Kakko Bread - Chytil - Gaut/Krav Kreider - Trocheck - Gaut/Krav Cuylle - Brodz - Goodrow If Othmann isn't ready, plus I'm not sure he can be called up currently. Would rather see Krav on the 3rd line cause I think that line could use some skill, and the 2nd line could use a net crasher like Gauthier. Gauthier on the 3rd line makes that line pretty one dimensional but that could be a good thing too, just a speedy pucks to the net line that would hopefully up the physical game as well.

Would really like to see Krav on the 3rd line next game, I feel like that line should be better but the O-zone play dies on Vesey's stick a lot.

Go back to 4 on 4, 3 on 3 should be exciting but all it means is the team that wins faceoff skates and passes around for 2 minutes straight

3rd line needs a skill guy, please Kravtsov in for Vesey next game.

Goodrow going down looked weird not gonna lie, almost like he was selling it, but Makar definitely didn't get puck and the Kreider call was BS

It's the defensemen who've really been forcing the issue there and thank god for em cause I'm not sure the forwards still all understand.

Yeah if Colorado were healthy I could look at a close game and a "good-looking loss" as a continuation of a turnaround by this team, but with those injuries it's gotta be a win tonight!!
