This really has not been a good game played by the Rangers. -

Canucks goalie playing his first NHL game tonight, watch out boys! -
Idk, I tinker with options trading sometimes, I'm down a lot. I think the one time I have a winner doesn't mean I really know what I'm doing, just getting lucky. I think it's the same for one of GG's line roulettes working lmaoo. But sure I'll give it to him, the line change may have won the game for them.

Report Vitali Kravtsov Requests Trade Ahead of Trade Deadline
Tonybologna replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
It is beyond moronic to keep sitting Kravstov like this to play a guy like Lachinshin. Vesey hasn't done much with top 9 minutes in awhile. Kravstov has looked about as good as Vesey has except that Krav has a boatload more potential. Just give him some damn games consistently, Krav looks a lot better not producing than Laf has looked not producing, I think he would start clicking soon given some consistency. -
GDT [RS #50] Rangers vs Calgary Flames — Back to the Grind
Tonybologna replied to High and Wide's topic in New York Rangers
It's good to put Blais in here. If the stint in Hartford did anything for him you want to keep that momentum going and see if it has done anything for his play in the NHL. If he plays a few games and is back to how he was, it's probably bye bye Blais -
Would adding Jeannot block Cuylle going forward? They sound like similar players. Or is the idea to get multiple of these in the bottom 6?

Rangers Re-Sign Ben Harpur to 2-Year/$1.55m Extension; $775k AAV
Tonybologna replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
I would honestly make it Harpur's spot to lose in the playoffs unless the deadline pickup is more significant than a Braun -
I'd like to see if Vesey produces playing with Blais and Leshishin though. Also, Gauthier has 9 points (6 goals) in 34 GP with 8:25 TOI/G, Vesey has 16 points (8 goals) in 47 games and 13:47 TOI/G. I'm not going to do all the math but I imagine their production is pretty close with all this considered (although I will concede Vesey gets time on the PK where he's likely not going to produce), and then if you consider the quality of linemates Vesey has had and the positions he's been put into, his production is really not worthy of keeping him in the top 9. Especially when Krav and Gaut are still young and have some real upside.

I think Gaut has looked better with better linemates. I mean Blais and Leshinshin leave a lot to be desired and I think there's a much better lineup to be had without adding anyone from outside the organization. I'd really like to see Krav and Gaut in the top 9 over Goodrow and Vesey. Something like: Bread - Mika - Krav Krav has been really good defensively and seems to want to go to the net, so what Vesey has been doing with more upside Laf - Chytil - Kakko PLEASE DON'T TOUCH THIS LINE GG, and make them the "2nd line" in minutes at least Kreider - Trocheck - Gaut Been wanting to see Gaut get some time on this line with Kreids and Trocheck cause the speed, size, north/south hockey could give it a real identity Cuylle - Goodrow - Vesey Now this is a 4th line, and a great checking line. Also keeps 2 of our PKers fresh I just don't think Goodrow/Vesey are making themselves untouchable in the top 9 and I don't think Krav/Gaut have been so bad as to not give these players with way more upside a chance and allow Goodrow and Vesey to be where they can "over"fill their roles and be one of the better 4th lines we've seen rather than underfill the top 9. Obviously deadline moves are almost certainly coming and will change this, but as for now I think the lineup could be much better. This is a Cuylle/Blais thread so I will say I liked what I saw from Cuylle, his hits seemed forceful and yeah there was the forecheck that lead to the delay of game and he was crashing the net a bit too. All things that would play well in the playoffs.

Great signing honestly. He has been a real nice surprise and at worst he would be a league minimum paid 7th (probably what he'll be after the deadline anyway). -
Also gotta keep Chytil away from Romanov tonight, I'd like to see him stay healthy

Fantastic news! Even Gallant has a limit with his guys I guess

GDT [RS #34] Rangers @ Pittsburgh Penguins — All Aboard the Trouba Train
Tonybologna replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Feel like they didn't get as many shots from the defensemen as they have been during this win streak, and passed up on some good shots. Feel like it was a bit of a regression offensively that I hope they recognize and get back to what was working next game. That's not to say they didn't get a lot of good chances outside of the two they scored on, I just don't want to see what didn't work earlier in the season. -

Why is Brodzinski even out there with Kreider and Trocheck? -

Rightfully so -
What about Blais? He's got some pretty high trade value if I recall . Kinda kidding but also think Blais would be a good piece to move in this. Blais, Krav, 2024 1st, 3rd? If they want a 2023 1st then give them a prospect (not Othmann) instead of Krav. It shouldn't cost anyone from the current top 9 or Othmann and if it does, I don't make the trade and we get Kane for free this offseason if it can work capwise.
