  1. I think this gets over blown. Are they really rivals? It's a pure rental. What difference does it make to them? It's not like they're trading a young guy in their division they'll have to see for a decade.
  2. I'll go with Laf no longer has to guess and chase the play. He knows where to go and what his linemates are going to do. If you think Zib is going to shoot under 6% all year that's your choice.
  3. Cup winner. 34 goals and 58 points in 58 playoff games. Pens needs to start acquiring assets with all these 35+ contracts they signed. They're gonna go downhill quick.
  4. Trolling you? You said all summer that coaching didn't matter and Panarin would regress. Laf is thriving in structure, as is the D corps. Calling you out for being wrong is trolling you? If the team was 2-10-1 you'd be all about how GG wasn't the issue.
  5. You ready to admit coaching instead if free wheeling makes a difference?
  6. They've been fantastic defensively. The offense will come as time goes on.
  7. I'd say scratch him if he's unable to find some energy against his former team tonight. Pitlick isn't the answer though. Vesey to 3RW. Call up Belzile to pay on the 4th line. If Othmann isn't forcing a call-up around mid-January, hit the trade market.
  8. You told us all off-season how Panarin was regressing and would be under a ppg.
  9. Under armors wear out quick for me. I'm a 5.11 guy.
  10. You're over thinking it. Laf could have just as easily been caught on a long shift or stuck for a couple icing. That same game with a 3 minute discrepancy Laf had 21 shifts to Kakko's 20. One isn't losing minutes to the other.
  11. Kakko played over a minute more in AZ. Kakko has taken 58 shifts averaging 47 seconds. Laf has taken 59 shifts averaging 49 seconds. Their usage is identical.
  12. Most PP goals since 2017-18 through last year: Draisaitl - 109 Pastrnak - 89 Ovechkin - 87 Zibanejad - 85 Top 10 power play in the league over that span. Since Fox took over setting Zib up in 2019: Draisaitl - 87 Zibanejad - 60 Power play tied for 4th in the league. Letting Zibanejad rip as many shots as possible appears to be working.
  13. It's a PR slogan. You think the players are skating around chanting no quit during games?
  14. Was the competition different? You just got done telling us how Guss sucks. Jones made the team as the 7th D because he won't clear waivers. They should have better luck trading him than Hajek though because Hajek sucks.
  15. It's pretty simple. Cuylle earned a spot with his play. Jones hasn't.
  16. Zib sets the franchise record for goals in a season, scores over 100 points, and wins league MVP.
  17. Nah, I'm 7 years in. I don't even know what I'd do with a big bag that has wheels and a fully functional zipper.
  18. I bought all the cheapest clearance shit the internet had to offer. So cheap I accidentally bought a junior bag so I carry my skates in a separate gym bag.
  19. The issue here is the thought the Rangers are doing something wrong. They aren't. It's heavily luck dependant. Theere are what 4 out of 30+ teams that have multiple cups in the last 20 years? Chicago was lucky to have the 1oa when arguably the best American player of all time was on the board. Pitt was lucky to draft high when Crosby and Malkin were there. Tampa was lucky to get Stamkos and Hedman. The Oilers had like 5 1oa picks. They haven't won shit. Hall, Tavares, RNH, Yakupov, Ekblad these guys didn't help anyone build a dynasty. Matthews has one playoff series win. You can try to paint it as an organizational failure, but the truth of the matter is the Rangers simply got their high picks in the wrong years. Bad luck. Plus winning the cup is hard. As @Pete has mentioned, Hanks teams were some of the best in the league. Most playoff wi s of any team that didn't win a cup. To say the org sucks is wrong. They built a good contender.
  20. So is Toronto a good franchise since the won a bunch of Cups in the 50s and 60s? Did they successfully re build? How about the Oilers since they won 5 cups in the 80s? All their 1st overall picks make them good? Is Montreal good? Have they successfully rebuilt? Winning the cup is hard.
  21. Chicago went 47 years without a cup before Kane and Toews got there. They made the playoffs once in the decade before. How are you pointing to them as a road map for the Rangers?
