GDT [RS #4] Rangers vs. Nashville Predators — Return of the Mack [Truck]

Sam playing the catcher 'framing' those pitches. Unfortunately the refs weren't biting this time. Amazing effort though. -
Chytil only first 'broke out' to a degree last season - year 6 post draft. And he was a first rounder as well (leave aside Kakko's special 2OA status for now). We're starting year 5 post draft for Kakko. As long as we're playing good hockey as a team and winning, some pressure should come off these individuals and they'll find their way in due time. We should just be pretty happy with the state of the team so far through 3 games.
-
maybe he'll just play himself into another very affordable contract for a solid enough mid-tier player... while Cuyle and Othman quickly rise up the ranks to hold the mantle of the future - while still on cheap deals themselves for a few years.

As long as the system is working and we're getting W's...all these individual players will have a chance to find their groove and eventually produce.

Seravalli Rangers Paying Attention to Patrick Kane; Sike! No, They Aren't

would be exciting to see him get another shot as part of a team that can actually win using style of play instead of being desperate for heroic individual efforts -

Who was the bald guy going down the middle? Shooting? Getting his own rebound? -
Mercogliano Kakko May Be Poised for Breakout Season With NY Rangers

Yes, but the point is you can still arguably project kakko will be a higher producing player than buch - and buch has turned out to be pretty damn good. -
Mercogliano Kakko May Be Poised for Breakout Season With NY Rangers
Jdog99 replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
We doubted whether buchnevich would ever 'arrive'...and Kakko's skill and effort level have both been higher than his was the first few years. -
Yup...and depending on how you simulate (not adding goodrow in that case?) May only eat into the 11.5 mill a bit... And kreid-zib-buch wouldve been a hell of an improvement on line 1 the last 2 years
-
If we want to evaluate the panarin signing, gotta come up with some scenarios/simulations of how else we could have spent that money at the time and/or last few seasons...any takers?

Lafrenière Re-Re-Reset: 2023–24 Edition
Jdog99 replied to RichieNextel305's topic in New York Rangers
Not a fan of moving him to the RW...again...(nor the first time) But i can't really argue with anyone who says he should have proven and earned his keep by now... Just think with 1OA like that...the ideal situation is you get put on the top line (in your natural position) on a team with low expectations, and have alot of freedom to play your game. -
This guy really does look like laff

Trochek's interview is the most directly damning account of the GG era I've heard...and he was supposed to be a 'GG' guy
-
Hey, we finally got a really good prospect who looks like hes developing on or ahead of schedule...lets fuck him up and change him to rw...
-
looking like a very strong possiblity
-
ouch...thats a real low blow
-
I second 40+ goals for Chytil. What was last seasons winning prediction?
-
Forget that. Lets speculate that Panarin will put up 80 pts at RW vs 95 at LW. And that Laff puts up 60 at LW vs 40 at RW. You'd be up 5 pts + laff actually materializing into something and more to come. My assumption is that Panarin just has the talent and confidence to be more productive on his off wing.
