Somewhere safe from physical contact I'm sure

Miller’s man is the center (F2), who was sliding behind the puck carrier for a drop pass, not the far winger…that’s the winger’s man…which was Kreider until Kreider decided to make a poor change and his replacement got caught up ice…

Not Miller’s guy…that’s the winger’s man…unfortunately, Kreider decided to change last second, leaving his replacement high and dry and chasing the play…

Go back and watch it…his guy is the center who was sliding over to get a drop pass…That’s Miller’s guy…It’s man to man when you cross the blue.

Nope. Man to man doesn't exist in a bubble. You don't follow a guy aimlessly in a no danger area to leave open a cutting man driving to the net. Come on. Bad change or not, Miller had to read that play and not overcommit when another guy driving is on his backside.

They didn’t show up tonight. Still a lot of time left but you can tell they’re not playing up to snuff tonight. And Philly needs this game. They need to wake up here. They haven’t looked this disorganized, sloppy and lazy in a long time. There is no effort whatsoever.

Back it up to a little before this…Lawton has two rangers within a stick’s length of him.  Miller reads that and takes the next open man who’s crossing the blue line…then Kreider peels off to change and Trochek gets out skated trying to come back and gets caught…absolutely need to cover men on a fast break.

Once again, there is no danger out of the zone. I don5 agree with you. Miller has to judge a lot better to cover for teammates, not go on some lazy cruise around.

If your D partner is up high, the other D partner cannot be caught like that. Plain and simple. That's pee wee level stuff.
