I'm not making it about Panarin, I'm making it about the cognitive dissonance between trading one player who is not going to get you any cap relief after you're done with retention plus signing replacement versus trading a guy who many teams wouldn't even ask for attention and would probably get a good amount. There is nobody on this team who strides less than Kreider. He doesn't use his speed to get it on the fore check or to get into open areas or to push the play. Please don't try to say that he's always in position therefore he never has to move his feet. Good hockey players are always moving their feet. It's coaching 101. I don't remember the last time I saw him win a 50-50 puck. Next time I'm watching I will actively participate in the GDT and make a note of every time he's not moving his feet and every time he doesn't come out of the corner with a puck. You were in last night's game thread saying he was invisible and only did one positive thing (his goal), as if he wasn't a big reason for the first goal (Trocheck's) on a set play between he and Fox. I read as much as I can but hardly if ever get to see them play until they get to 8th ave. I am just happy we are going for the feist type at least if not the all together pests these days.
