I just have so much more faith in the coaching of this team. I feel like this squad probably works so well behind closed doors discussing game plans and players. Gallant and his crew just didn't do it for me. His record here is not akin to his abilities as much as it was pure talent allowing us to win. When the going got tough, we got going. This year is gunna be different.

It’s hard to hate the islanders they’ve been such a joke the last 20 or so years

Def hate the Devils more than the Isles. It isn't even close. It's because of Brodeur. Hated him so much and then the championships they won. Living in NJ and growing up in the 90's, it was a perfect equation to despise them as a Rangers fan.

My favorite games have been against Philly for the past 20 years. They just always seem to get nasty and play some good ol hockey.

I hate the Devils and Penguins more for sure. A lot of disdain there going back to Brodeur and those guys. The Penguins goes without saying. The Islanders are annoying when we play them, but it's whatever. I know we've played the Capitals a lot in the postseason and there definitely was a bit of rivalry there, but I never really disliked them.

Always entertaining games for the most part, especially when the Rangers blew them out a few times there. Honestly most Rangers/Islanders are snoozefests.
