You go through tough stretches over the course of a season. Obviously, we’re going through a very tough stretch right now. So, it’s up to us to flip the narrative and look back on this in a month or two and say that this was a good thing for us and that we started stringing together wins. Now, it’s the next game.” — Chris "Da Real Cap" Kreider The Fat Lady, tho: 1

jsm7302
Looks like a guy who is out of ideas. The thing is, Laf doesn't have to blocked like he says. He can easily flip him and Kreider and let him learn. Even out the TOI.
mbob
Why doesn't Kreider give a go at RW and see how Laf does on the top at LW?

That puts him just a tad under a 40 goal pace. On a team struggling right now, how do you screw too much with that?

Root for a brighter future. Yup, Rangers up next on the calendar? Easy opportunity for a struggling team to turn around their fortunes (at least temporarily). We're going to get lit up by Buchy and Tarasenko and Binnington is going to put in a Vezina-caliber performance.

Playing the long game; gotta hope Kreider's production can continue playing with Trochek on line 3 (Not like he is a scrub). We want to develop Laf. Playing with Zib will do that. Laf-Zib Panarin-Chytil Kreider -Trochek Put Kakko, Krav and Blais/Goodrow/Vesey wherever.

Yeah, but Gallant isn’t going to coach that way if he knows his job is hanging in the balance. I agree with you but for as bad as we are, we are 2 points out of a wildcard spot right now. The only way he will coach for the long game is if Drury publicly comes out and says Gallant is going nowhere or a trade. He may shake things up temporarily, but it won’t stick unless it literally catches lightning in a bottle right away.

Vegas, Colorado, New Jersey, and Toronto. That's four straight Ls in my mind.
jsm7302
Maybe Messier can take Trouba out to dinner and furnish him with the information for him to join the next group in the Messier Leadership Class.
