Gallant just got super pissed (I believe at Mollie Walker?) during the post game presser when asked his thoughts on Lafreniere.

He sure did, he's just not gonna deal with that stuff when asked.  Fair questions to be asked but he's  never going to  answer them and it definitely hits a nerve every time.

It's a fair question to ask anyone within this organization about the status of every "top prospect"... how long do we blame the prospects and not the organization.

Well I’m fairness, when it comes to our last two, no way they picked anyone but who they picked. The rest is hindsight. Having said that, neither looks …….whatever

Fuck I hate that this happened, but man this is just too sick...I mean how the hell.

Please folks, keep telling me about how Trouba is our big, strong, rock of a physical player and how the team folds without him...

That's what she gets for asking a forum-worthy question at an actual press conference.

We have people here who asked the same type of questions...I remember games 2 years ago where people would complain after a 5-1 loss (or win) that Kakko didn't play more and he's never develop.

Well here he is, playing more, not really developing offensively all that quickly playing with some of the team's best players...I dunno. Whatever.

It was a fantastic game I would definitely watch, plus goal of the season was scored

The McDavid goal is going to be played in highlight packages for the rest of all our lives. And I will have the same thought I had when it happened; will one of you pathetic mooks hit him?

Lol, McDavid undresses everyone like that all the time, come on.

I'm no Trouba lover and he had a bad game yesterday, but he's been better this season and he IS "our big, strong, rock of a physical player", he's just not always showing it.

Did you see his hit before the 5-4 goal? https://www.nhl.com/video/zibanejads-go-ahead-goal/t-326176610/c-9420062

One timers as in, he scored a goal one time.... God he sucks.

Rangers are in dire need of a winger. Hunt was supposed to be an extra forward this season, which would have been a good role for him. Instead you've got Rooney on the 3rd line wing and Goodrow on the 1st.

I think it's fair to say the lineup does not look like it was supposed to.

Lol sorry if I expect our $8M D to be able to make physical contact with a player 12 inches away from him...or maybe...think about taking a penalty rather than having the best player on the planet get to the middle?

I dont care how much he's paid, that was McDavid doing McDavid things. Besides that goal we didn't really see much of McDavid, they did a decent job stopping him.

And there's 3 other Rangers players standing around on that play aswell.

Trouba was one of 4 players in that equation that got undressed and allowed the best player in the world to get to the middle.

And expectations for all players aren't equal.

Play from :35 second mark here you'll see Trouba transition by pivoting the wrong way opening up a lane in the middle of the ice that McDavid exploited. And again, take the penalty there.

Just bad defense all around.

Games like this prove how far the rangers have to go to be a contender. Defense needs a shit ton of work. Need to get rid of Georgiev.

To me, games like this prove that the NHL is still a skill league and you can't have shit players like Goodrow playing on your top lines.

Transforming prospects like Kakko from offensive dynamos into defensive specialists is flat out fucking ridiculous.

Set your skill players free! Make up for their shirt comings with players who do what your skill players lack.

We have a 1 & 2 overall picks that are nowhere near the players they were drafted as. Why the fuck do they always do this? You drafted them off the fact that they were offense first type players, yet here we are patting the Rangers on the back for drafting a player(s) who should be scoring 30+ goals annually and now he's a guy we hope can win a selke and pop 10 goals. They did this by choice!

I don't know how you blame Trouba the most here. First its weak by Rooney and Hunt allowing him to get to the middle of the ice and after that you see McDavid goes to his right (towards Nemeth) and humiliates him. If anyone needs to take the body there its Nemeth.

Trouba was never the closest guy to him.
