CBrowningPI Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Super happy to have Bread back but he won't play this game according to Quinn. He needs to skate more and get in game shape. LGRs!
4EverRangerFrank Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Bread will hard to get back ASAP. My wonderment is about Gorgiev starting but since he's been our anointed back-up I get it. Kinky looked to be better at positioning though and I wouldn't mind seeing him again. My cousin (NJD fan) texted me this AM to ask how we liked 'trash' Kincaid? I said he was certainly serviceable. He ended our convo by saying, "You'll soon see why he's no longer in NJ." Welp, I hope we don't get to see that version of Kinky. Good Kinky is what we want.

Karan Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Not feeling too confident about this game after the recent string of results and especially with Georgiev in net. If it were Shesterkin I might be more hopefully, but maybe they'll play like in that fans return to the Garden game and surprise us with a win.
Phil Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Ronning is on the taxi squad; when did that happen? Changes seemingly by the day. The squad as of today includes DeAngelo, Huska, Kakko, Miller, Kinkaid, and Bitetto. That'll be different come tomorrow.
Sharpshooter Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I was really hoping for at least a split against the Penguins before these Boston games. I didn't see the game against Pittsburgh, but were there any updates provided on Shesterkin? Groin injuries are tricky for a goaltender, even "minor" ones. I think you ride out Kinkaid for awhile as the backup, maybe even alternating starts with Georgiev. He's very serviceable.
Ozzy Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 It doesn't matter if they put a garbage pail in net at this point to me....I think we all need to see who brings what to the table the rest of the way. I'm looking at the rest of this season as a tryout for next season. Some players are really standing out as "The core" of the future, and some are playing themselves right into April 12th. This team is going to look a whole lot different at the start of next season, and I'm pretty sure a lot of the names that are in this lineup right now, won't be come next October. Anyway...I'm getting on the Chytil train for this game...He's been looking like he wants to make a difference out there. I'm liking his game this season.
paddynyc Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Don't think this will be pretty only hope for is to get a point in OT, but very little confidence going into this one. I hope maybe they surprise us the way the Devils beat the Bruins 1-0.

He's looking good out there Ozzy and to bad we don't have Igor in the net we need to ride him when he does comeback for 80% of the games.

I think we'll see a mish mosh of starts from all 3 of them, Paddy. I think Shesty is going to be "the guy", now it's a matter of who's gonna be the #2. That's why I think they'll give all of them a good share of the play the rest of the way. I'm probably wrong, but that's what I see happening. ;) 4-2 Rangers with an ENG for Zibsy. I wanna ride the Zibby train, Pete, but I feel I just jinx the guy!!!
Sharpshooter Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 It seems like an empty net is the only net that Zibanejad can hit. It's been really depressing to watch. But, I'd take an empty netter because it means win. :p

LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Uh Oh! #93 is on the naysayer's list. Some " fans " are never happy. Ta ta to all my BSBH " amigos". Rangers with a shut out victory; Gump Worsely in net.
siddious Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Right now, Zibby couldn't hit air if he fell out of a plane, Sharpy!! LOL I dunno... Sam Rosen seems to think he's getting close.........
Bugg Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Even the MSG network people are finally seeing that stat-oriented Valiquette by himself is a lousy watch.
siddious Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Even the MSG network people are finally seeing that stat-oriented Valiquette by himself is a lousy watch. I am hoping who ever approved those Ranger fan commercials, and who ever hired Valiquette gets canned this off season.
Ozzy Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I dunno... Sam Rosen seems to think he's getting close......... I think Sam is "close". "Close" to retiring! I get such a kick out of Sam screwing up the play by play these days. It such a "must hear"!!! Joe Mich must just shake his head in the booth at times....And Valliquette??? UGH!!! :puke: I can't even listen to him anymore!! I've been watching reruns of Top Gun or Rambo in between periods!
Bugg Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I am hoping who ever approved those Ranger fan commercials, and who ever hired Valiquette gets canned this off season. Every Ranger fan in those ads is some agoraphobe with a man cave. Hey, I'm here, but they're a bit much. I'm not that!
