NySPORTS
Gee, the didn’t even opt to delay the start or play in empty arenas. Canceled https://www.uticaod.com/story/sports/2020/11/12/ivy-league-cancels-winter-sports-6-schools-part-ecac-hockey/6272636002/ “The Ivy League announced Thursday it will not be participating in any winter sports for the 2020-21 season because of the novel coronavirus.”
BlairBettsBlocksEverything
Idk about exact numbers everywhere but we’re seeing a huge uptick by me. A ton of bars and restaurants are closed due to positive tests and it’s only getting higher. I’m not convinced the Ivy League will be alone in all of this. Sucks for the seniors
Phil
Had a feeling they would. Really sucks for those student-athletes and fans. We just did a ton of brand work with Colgate. Selfishly, I was really excited/hoping to see them take the ice this season to see our work come to life. It'll have to wait.
Morphinity 2.0
A real shame. Since I moved to NJ, I have enjoyed going to Princeton games. Never a bad seat at that rink and tickets are only $12.
4EverRangerFrank
West Point seats are $10 for bench-style and $12 with a seat back. LOL

Scott
Have frozen my balls off many times and Hobey Baker. Ivy league probably doesn't lose as much revenue as many of the other conferences would by making a move like this which could be why they where the first to make the call. I do believe others will eventually follow at some point whether it's prior too or during their seasons. Tough times for sure.

I also think that Ivy League sports are clearly secondary to academia and I'm sure the academics in charge didn't need much of a push to cancel any sports season. There are also no athletic scholarships in the Ivy League, so that might have affect also Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
