I think it would raise Staal's trade value for trade deadline if he is named captain. I would name Staal honorary Rangers Captain for life if somebody (anybody) would take him in a trade. Just because of other teams may think he?s actually not useless and a ?leader and veteran? that could be good for a playoff push if he is a Captain. Dont think it would work, but honestly not a stupid idea lol.
