Isles just landed Jean-Gabriel Pageau from OTT....don't know for what yet though....http://www.tsn.ca/tradecentre/trade-tracker

Update... Isles gave up

2020 Conditional 1st-Round Pick

2020 2nd-Round Pick

2022 Conditional 3rd-Round Pick

***The 2020 first-round pick shifts to a 2021 first-round pick if the Islanders' pick is in the top three this year. The 2022 third-round pick will only transfer to the Senators if the Islanders win the Stanley Cup this year.

Haula is a UFA at end of season, Wallmark was due a contract, Priskie is probably 6th on the depth chart at RHD, and Luostarinen is pretty far down the list for them too.

Trocheck is an upgrade on either of the NHLers Carolina dealt, and all of those players likely go straight to the Panthers (assuming they don't flip Haula). That's a win-win, IMO.

Possibly. Trocheck's been having a tough go of it this year.

The Panthers are amazing at the top end, deep on centers who can step up and fill Trocheck's role (Heponiemi is probably ready, as is Borgstrom), and really thin on the bottom 6 and third pair.

Priskie could step right into the third pair, Wallmark is a solid defensive forward, Haula is a wildcard - if he's Vegas Haula, great. If not, he's a UFA so whatever, and Luostarinen looked good enough to be an NHLer.
