Skjei is the most frustrating player on this team. His combination of size and speed is very good and it feels like he should be so much better. Kind of like watching a young pitcher with a 100 mph fastball that has bad control and leaves too many meatballs over the heart of the plate.

Overall a strong puck possession period for the Rangers, especially important with the long change. Nashville goal came from extended zone pressure leading to penalty, and good PP play. Preds came on toward the end of period, important kill to start the third.

Nashville goal also came from Skjei trying to skate through everybody instead of dumping the puck leading to an odd man rush the other way and then extended zone pressure.
